Tell your story#11 (Mumbai memorable trip)

Hello to all of you.

I hope all of you are doing great 😄

The story that I am going to write today is mine because I don't know how I lived each and every moment of this story. It is my creation, filled with a unique confluence of happiness and sorrow, but maybe many people would have read this story.

It was the year 2005. With great difficulty we made plans to go to Mumbai (India) because I was a daughter-in-law of a royal family who was burdened with responsibilities to such an extent that I hardly thought about myself. But I am happy that I fulfilled my responsibilities very well and never let my parents bow down in shame. Yes, our plan was made. It was not so easy for both of us and our two children who were 8 and 9 years old to go to Mumbai in those days. We had to think a lot. As soon as we stepped into the city of Mumbai, it started raining and it started in such a way that it did not stop. This was the rain whose news probably spread everywhere, on TV, on radio, in newspapers, God knows where else.

The first day's rain was a little slow and we planned to go to "Essel World" which is one of the famous places of Mumbai because I was staying at my aunt's place in Mumbai who had three daughters and a son, all three daughters were married and the son was only 18-19 years old but was working in a company because my uncle was not there.

First day started and i remember my aunt refused to let us go for a walk, she said that there is no guarantee of rain here, but we did not agree, she did not go with us and we left for Essel World. It kept raining and we kept roaming, all four of us got completely wet, but you know how much children like swings and water rides, so the children enjoyed in wet clothes and both of us were having a lot of fun, there were some water rides in which children were not allowed, so both of us took those rides, some were already drenched and the rest also got wet, we did not know when we kept roaming, it was raining continuously from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Thankfully, we had taken some photos before our room got wet, otherwise later the rain was so bad that we couldn't even think about taking photos.

I still remember when we went to mumbai when we were going for outing that what my husband thinks about sarees, according to him I should wear veil at this age, you will laugh after reading it When we went on honeymoon, even then all the couples were roaming together and my husband was walking at a distance of 70 km from us. At one place it was too much. Then a photographer came and started taking our photo. He said, Sir, please keep your hand on Madam's shoulder. Then she said, if you want to click like this then click or else run away from here. I will not do all this drama, I will definitely show you that in the photo.

Who knows how many more such incidents are there. Anyway, we were talking about not clicking photos in the rain. Nowadays, if you look at rain, storm, fire, accident, death, life, God knows what all things are photographed. But that time was not like that. So on the first day, we all went to Esselworld movie.

Next day we went to Shani Shingnapur Shani Dev temple in the rain. Aunty kept forbidding us but we did not feel like it. We liked the Shani temple very much. We had to go there to have darshan in orange coloured dhoti. Only gents used to wear this dhoti. Ladies did not go to the temple. They used to have darshan from outside.

After we came back from there,It had been three continuous days of rain and water had started accumulating everywhere. We had two days left and we had to go to Goa but due to the heavy rain the water level was increasing. We then decided to go to Goa alone because as my aunt was telling us, travelling by bus can be dangerous as the bus can get stuck anywhere and if the situation remains the same, there are chances of drowning as well. But we did not know what was happening. My husband said that we should leave the children behind, if something like this happens then at least our signs will remain and we went to Goa🤣. The situation was really bad on the way, there were only two vehicles, people were on the verge of death, but maybe God was with us that we returned the next day.

Now a bigger sorrow was waiting for us, my aunt's only son had not returned from work, many people in the building opposite had also not come home for 2 days, cars, buses, taxis, their vehicles, everyone was stuck, there was crying and wailing everywhere, my aunt was crying badly, her son did not come for 2 days, one day we were in Goa, we did not get to know because he did not have a mobile at that time, the next day this was the situation.

I also felt like crying a lot, everyone was worried, my children were praying to God, God send uncle quickly, aunty also kept remembering Sain Baba, then in the evening I recited a part of Sundarkand Ramayan from 9:00 pm to 4:00 am, not a single eyelid blinked a tear I kept on reciting, God, I have come to Mumbai to my aunt's place, do not do anything wrong or else I will be tainted for life, everyone remained hungry and thirsty the whole day, after reciting the paath the whole night, I fell asleep at 5:00 am, at around 7:00 pm my eyes opened with the door bell, aunt said the maid must have come, saying this I opened the door, Nishant, my aunt's son was standing in front, then I hugged him. Maybe god had saved my honour. The below is one of the photo of 2005 of my brother and my sons
