The Diary Game(03-02-24)Savouring Old Time Traditional Delicacy and Celebrating of Success

Today was a day revisiting that old traditional delicacy of boiled Cocoyam with palm oil or red oil saurce and to celebrate my young nephew for his prowess and progress in football.
We gathered around to enjoy the traditional dish of Cocoyam palm oil,a delicacy that brings back memories of our cultural roots.I could remember those days when cocoyam was regularly cooked and served families in different ways.Some were cooked as pudding mixed with African oil bean,some as soup thickener,some pounded and used as swallow.It was delicious,healthful natural because of the phytochemicals Cocoyam contains.

I woke up not quite so early,I took time to sleep cover myself in a duvet because of the hamattan breeze blowing cold as ice.I tidied up my home, prepared myself and went out to check on my cousin.I was there trying to do a short video on the project I'm working with.I took a hot Lipton tea with bread as breakfast.One way was to ward off extreme cold and to control an undesired weight gain.

During the afternoon hour Our Cocoyam and the sauce which included Scent leaf,Onions,Seasoning,and red Oil.All of theses ingredients were blended while palm or red Oil was a little bleached and poured into the sauce.
It tasted Yummy,but one unwanted thing is certain,itching on your tongue,I suffered the scratch but was carried away by the taste of the dish.

The meal was carefully prepared by boiling the Cocoyam after peeling out the layer.Then the making of the sauce using the ingredients have mentioned before.nd it felt scratch but was carried away by the taste of the dish.I really love this meal and I had missed it for several years.
As we indulged in this delicious meal,we also celebrated the achievement of my nephew,who recently won a prestigious award for being the top goalscorer in his football league.We cheered and clapped as he proudly showed off his trophy,and our hearts swelled with pride at his accomplishments.

Thereafter I pampered myself with a cool long sleep which I woke to look at time it was already late evening,could this be as a result of the palatable long time missed dish I had taken time to eat well and got satisfied.

My day was filled with laughter,and organic food,it reminded us of the importance of coming together as a family to celebrate each other's successes and to look back into traditional healthy food .As we were caught in the happiness of the day,we couldn't help but feel grateful for the little moments that bring us closer and unite us as a family.
This Saturday diary game was truly a special one,and it's one that we'll remember for sometimes to come.Today was a day of delicious organic food, joyful celebrations, and cherished memories.
