"Contest: Betterlife, My Shopping Day | To buy two Lungi dresses)"

in hive-168072 •  2 years ago

Hello and good day to all. I must mention here, that the @steemladies community gives us some very amusing contest topics. Dear @liasteem thank you for putting together such a lovely topic for us to discuss. I enjoy shopping, but I don’t do it very often, because my husband likes to shop very much. He always shops for groceries. But if I need something, I go to the Chandana Supermarket by myself because it’s close to my house.

When we think about shopping, we simply mean that a customer browses products or services from one or more sellers with the intent of purchasing something. Even though I don't go grocery shopping, I do go shopping for clothes and other cosmetic items because I enjoy doing so.

Today I'd like to tell you about a shopping trip I took with my daughter-in-law on a Thursday in May.

We live in Gampaha, but when we need clothes, we go to Nihal Fashion in Nittambuwa, which is 18 kilometers away. That day, after breakfast, we both went there. We want to purchase lungi dresses for a special occasion. The shop was not overcrowded because it was a weekday.

Nihal Fashion is a six-story clothing store. In addition to clothing, we can purchase shoes, beauty items, gift items, clocks, wristwatches, and kitchen items from them. They also have another floor dedicated to grocery stores. When compared to other clothes shops Nihal Fashion's prices are very reasonable.

As I previously stated, we needed to purchase lungi dresses, so we went to the section that showcased lungi designs. We'd like to buy Batik Lungi or a Handloom Lungi. Unfortunately, I was unable to share the photos because photographing in most shops in Sri Lanka is illegal. However, while sitting on a sofa in the shop, I secretly took some photos.

Lungi in Nihal Fashion was very cheap in comparison to other stores and online shopping. Lungi typically costs more than SLR 4,500.00. (steem 85) in other shops and online sellers. However, the price in Nihal Fashion is less than SLR 4000. (steem 76). We only needed two Lungi for myself and my daughter-in-law, but we took more than two hours to choose our needy. Specially, my daughter-in-law spent more time than I did choosing her dress. You all know, as ladies, how much time we devote to shopping, particularly for fashion items. Anyway, after several hours, we chose handloom dresses and went to the counter to pay our bill. We had to pay SLR 7700.00 for both dresses (Steem 147). We left the place after paying our bill to return home.

While we were walking to the car park, my daughter mentioned that he wanted to eat bugger. So, we went to a nearby bugger shop and ordered one burger and one submarine with two milkshakes. We paid our bill and walked to the car park.

We were able to get home around 1.30 p.m. That was the end of my shopping day.

Thanks for your review report and kind feedback.

I think the Lungi dress is very practical and quite cool, I haven't seen anything like it in the country yet, I think it's fabulous.

See you
