Animals are very essential creatures to the world, they have helped humans not only today but also in the past. We can learn a lot from them like compassion, responsibility, unity, efficiency and so. They contribute immensely to ecological balance and environmental harmony. So it is our responsibility to protect and care for them. This contest, "Let Us Talk About Animals," presented by @fannyescobar, has allowed us to share our own experiences, moments of connection, and life-changing stories with our fellow Steemians. Let us start to talk on this topic.
Yes, I loved animals since my father taught me that all creatures are very essential to our life existence and environment. I believe that every creature has a strong connection with us, therefore, it is our duty to protect and care them.
I am not afraid of animals because they provide a wonderful benefit to both the environment and humans. If we fear them, it shows we do not fully understand them. We often visit animals in our forest, I would never go to visit them if I were afraid of them. I believe we should respect and protect our animals. Every animal has the right to live in our community with us. Instead of being afraid of them, we can visit them by understanding and maintaining a safe distance.
Yes, I have a lovely dog called Beenu. He is not only a pet but also a true member of our family. He has long hair and is very friendly with our neighbors. My neighbors are very friendly with him more than us. Children from neighboring families flock to my house to play with him. I am delighted to watch my Beenu chasing birds in our grass, as this is his favorite game. Every morning, he kindly welcomed me and accompanied me wherever I went. He broke my monotonous life and taught me the importance of the bond between humans and animals.
One evening, as I sat in the garden chair sipping a cup of tea, I noticed my Beenu barking nonstop and staring up. He occasionally glanced at me and attempted to summon me, but I ignored him and continued sipping my tea. He jumped to my feet and dragged my dress, beckoning me to join him. So I went there to find out what was going on. I noticed a small squirrel hanging over the branch, looking scared. It was a new experience for Beenu, and he looked close to it without harming the squirrel. Then I realized Beenu was surprised and the little squirrel was scared. So, first I moved my Beenu from there, and then the squirrel, with an encouraging mind, jumped to the other branch that was higher than that and ran away. That incident taught me that animals interact with other creatures in such innocent ways. It was a lighthearted moment that demonstrated how animals can connect in such innocent ways. I couldn’t stop laughing at how my Beenu entertained such a simple thing.
Yes, in my country, a lot of organizations protect animals. The Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) is the key organization in protecting wild animals and their habitats. Their main duty is maintaining Sri Lanka's national parks and sanctuaries. Because of that animals like elephants, leopards, and deer can dwell in safety. Sri Lanka's government is also enforcing strict laws against poaching and illegal wildlife trading. Furthermore, several private organizations work to safeguard stray animals, particularly dogs and cats, by providing shelters and encouraging adoption.
I love all animals in the same manner. I know every animal has a certain role to perform for nature. Even a small insect or a big animal plays a big role in keeping the nature balance. Some people are afraid of their appearance, but if we can understand them correctly we need not dislike them. We can learn all of the creatures without disliking them and appreciating the role they play in our ecosystem. According to my opinion, we need to love and care for all the creatures in same way without having unfavorable thoughts toward them.
According to me, elephants are the most intelligent animals on earth. They have a good memory, which allows them to remember locations and people for years. They live in close-knit communities and always show sympathy and concern for one another. When they were in danger or were distressed, they swiftly banded together. Their intelligence, mixed with their empathetic and majestic conduct makes them the most remarkable animal in the world. We must protect them since they are a cultural symbol as well as a crucial part of our wildlife.
Yes, I had several opportunities to watch wildlife in our forests. National parks in Sri Lanka such as Yala and Udawalawa provide us with great opportunities for animal viewing, and visiting these locations provides us with unforgettable memories. I have opportunities to visit their natural behavior, especially, elephants, deer, and monkeys as well as special birds. I'm grateful for living in a place where wild animals are so freely accessible and safe.
