Tell your Story #29 - Victory over the fear of heights

in hive-168072 •  22 days ago
Hello dear ladies!

Heights have always made me feel awe and anxiety. I remember how since childhood, open spaces and tall buildings made me freeze with fear. But, like any parent, I had a dream — to see joy in the eyes of my children. And then the day came when my children and I came to the amusement park. The spirit of celebration was in the air, and I knew that today I would face the most difficult challenge — riding the Ferris wheel.

When we approached this giant attraction, I felt my heart beat faster. The huge booths slowly rose to a sheer height, and I couldn't help but think about how afraid I was of heights. My eldest daughter looked at the wheel with delight, and my youngest daughter jumped for joy, begging me to ride with them. At that moment, I realized that I couldn't let my fear ruin their celebration.

Summoning all my willpower, I quietly said to myself: "I'll do it for them." We got in line, and I tried to hide my excitement. I smiled and supported the children, joking about how great it would be to look at the park from a bird's-eye view. There was a struggle inside me—fear and love for children. But I needed to be strong.

Finally, we sat down in a booth. When the wheel started to rise, my fear wavered, but I held the children's hands tightly and tried not to show my fear. I looked around the neighborhood and thought about how high we were climbing. The panoramic windows offered an incredible view: the green expanses of the park, fountains sparkling in the sun and children laughing merrily on the rides. This moment was magical.

Soon we reached the highest point. I froze for a moment, but I saw such joy in the eyes of my children — it was worth it. We started laughing, sharing our impressions, and taking photos to remember this amazing moment. I understood that I was able to overcome my fear for them, and that was my greatest achievement.

When we returned to earth, I felt not only relief, but also pride. I not only conquered my own fear of heights, but also gave my children unforgettable emotions. We smiled and laughed, discussing our experiences and planning new adventures.

This day will always remain in my memory as a symbol of love and courage. I realized that sometimes, in order to give my children happiness, you need to overcome not only external obstacles, but also your own fears. And along the way, perhaps you will find not only their joy, but also new courage in yourself.
