Contest | "Protection from evil's eye"

To the beautiful people of this community, I trust you are all doing great. I am @tripple-e from Nigeria and I feel so elated to participate in this contest organized by a great personality @aviral123 on such an interesting topic "protection from the evil's eye". Weldone ma'am keep soaring like the eagle.

My darlings we are living in the last days, as such evils are abound; mere you putting on a new dress attracts envy and jealousy from people even your family members, they would say you are showing off. Imagine.

So an evil eye can be a malicious glare that is birthed out of envy which can cause harm or misfortune to someone. And people who are really vulnerable are the children, because most of them are not spiritually strong or be spiritually sensitive. Because even the bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4 which says:

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

Note: A young person can have an evil eye, it is not always applicable to the old people as most people believe it to be. It is an evil spirit that anyone can contact whether young or old.

Moving forward to the hints questions;

👁️How much do you agree with what the evil eye looks like?

The evil eye to me is symbolic, meaning a person glaring or looking at someone with an evil intentions in his/her heart to cause you pains, sorrow, frustration, and even death, infact the intent is generally to harm you. In my locality people with such characteristics and attitudes are being seen as witches and wizards, because it is only a witch that would rejoice in ones downfall.

So the evil eye is not just looking at someone's eye and the person's eye would turn red or black as often painted in the movies. Of course all that are acting.
They are also called "the agents of darkness".

👁️What measures do parents take to protect their children from the evil eye?

Children are the reward from God to the parents by that they are seen as the "care givers ", because if they don't take care of those children well, they would someday give account to the real owner which is God.
Note: It is only God that can protect; but a parent can stand in the place of prayers by interceding for their children asking God to hide them in the shadow of His wings.
So the best measures parents can take to protect their children from the evil eye is by bringing them up in the ways of God, get them rooted in His presence and His word, make them have a relationship with God by serving God in spirit and in truth.

And they can also protect them by instilling some bible principles into them, giving them advice and looking out for their children all the time to make no hurt comes to them. Remember they are the care givers.

Parents can also protect their children by teaching them to be responsible and accountable for themselves.

👁️Are parents really worried that their children may be affected by the evil eye?

Yes, because we are living in a wicked world. Even my bible admonished us that we should not be ignorance of the devices of the devil. In other words, we should believe that evil exist and therefore we should guard against it by being prayerful and also being spiritually sensitive.

So any parent that wants their children to succeed in life or amount to something good would see to it that no evil eye would see their children through their fervent prayers, especially the mothers they know how to stand in the gap interceding for their families; that's why they have the qualities of a builder.

👁️ If someone is affected by the evil eye, what kind of consequences are seen? Or how does one realize that the evil eye has fallen?

Sometimes a person that's affected by evil eye can live a wayward and a useless lifestyle, become drunk, steal in the community, commit all manner of atrocities, infact becomes a problem and a thing of shame to the family.

Let me share a life story of a certain woman in my community while growing up in the rural area.
There was this woman who had 5 children 2 males and 3 females. The two boys died mysteriously and it was rumoured that it was their uncle who is a wizard that killed those two boys, meanwhile he had already killed the husband of the woman who was his elder brother in the quest to inherit his plot lands as rumoured also. So one day, this woman decided to confront the brother in-law physically by hitting a metal round the village announcing to the community that she's warning the man to leave her family alone and steer clear off their lives not knowing she was inviting trouble to herself, Meanwhile that wasn't a proper way to confront a wizard, she should have done that on her knees praying not openly confronting the man.
So this evil man taught the woman a lesson by picking her from her bed sleeping (well don't ask me how, because me too I don't know 😀😀)using the evil eye, took her to a pit latrine covered her face on the toilet, so she woke up to see herself sleeping in the toilet to the amazement of everybody. The evil man even had the guts to come and warned the woman that if she ever tried that rubbish with him again what he would do to her would be worse than that, That's how the woman ran and left that village with her children till date.

No wonder my bible says in that bible portion that I mentioned above, that the "weapon of our warfare are not carnal" you can make reference to it.
