in hive-168072 •  6 months ago

Greetings to the beautiful ladies and amazing people in this community, I trust you are all doing amazingly great; I must say God has been too faithful to me and my household. That's why when I saw this amazing contest organized by @ruthjoe giving us a opportunity to tell our stories about (what happened within the week or what we saw) I was like wow "I'm going to drop my participation and here I am. Thank you for having me.

Gratefulness

*Gratefulness is us appreciating the Almighty (and even humans) for what He has done for us; especially for the gift of life, His benevolence towards us, His provision, His protection and most importantly for His mercy. Because it is by the Almighty mercy that we are not consumed.

What makes me want to go this lane is that*.....

On Tuesday; that's two days ago, I was in a mini bus going somewhere; and before I got to my designated bus stop, I must pass like three traffic lights; please just follow me.... Then each of those traffic light I observed something.
First traffic light, I saw a lady very beautiful, without eyes, she was blind,so she had a little girl leading her; she was just moving from vehicle to vehicle singing oh my God! her voice was like a night tingle bird, she sang so melodiously but she had no sight, then I remember I can see very well with my two eyes without the help of a glasses.👇

Unconsciously I began to thank God for my eyes.

And again I looked around I sighted another disabled person asking for alms from another vehicle, he was hopping on one leg using clutches, so I began to imagine, is this how this man is going to walk for the rest of his life? So uncomfortable. And again I remembered I can walk with my two legs without any wound or rashes on them and I can even run and jump up with it if I choose to.👇They are not cut off

Moving ahead, my journey was still in progress, I didn't even finish reminiscing on the event, we were already approaching another traffic light; you know most of them positioned themselves at different points to beg for alms, so that's why I was able to see them there.
This one was a teenager, a girl. Ah! The sight was terrible that I couldn't look at her twice, the thing was on her mouth, it was very big, I don't know what to call that kind of sickness whether cancer of the mouth; I don't know if there's anything like that. She could not even speak, it was someone that spoke on her behalf. Jez! I felt pity for her, I was asking myself how does she even able to eat; what would these peanut receives at the traffic light do for her?.
It was as if someone whispered in my ear👂👇

Look at you, you have a mouth and you can eat very well, you can even swallow a stone if you want to. Then I responded to the inner voice, thank you Jesus!!!

Other people who were in the bus were also appreciating God for their lives and that of their family members; everyone were in awe as what kind of sickness it was.

By this time, I know I was approaching the next traffic light that I'd alight, I thought I had seen it all, then an elderly man came to our bus and he was telling people how he got burnt in a fire outbreak that left his head bald without hair growing. Hmmmm. Then I told the driver that I'm not going again, have gotten to my bus stop. Then again, look at me with full hair on my head.👇

And coincidentally all the three traffic lights always shows red, so that our bus would wait.

Lesson Learnt:

I know that God was trying to communicate something to me through those scenarios; that I should always be thankful and grateful for who and whatever circumstances I find myself; that even in the LITTLE I should, I Appreciate HIM.

Indeed God wants us to grateful and thankful always.
You have a good God and a father who will always guide just if you listen. It's good you listened to the voice. Lets keep being grateful and thankful my friend

Thank you my friend for stopping by

It's good to be grateful to God for the blessing of the things that money cannot buy. Most times we keep counting the things that doesn't matter and take what God is doing for us for granted as if it's entitlement.

You're a grateful soul, may God continue to bless you with the good things of life.

Amen thank you my sister.
You are absolutely right, we should always be grateful to God even in the minute thing

You're welcome dear

♥️

My dear friend, you're very right. The wonders of God each passing day is immeasurable that we should be thankful to him always. God am grateful for all the things you've done for us. Imagine the third scenerio you shared, would the girl ever be free from the sickness? Hmmm only God knows.

But wait ooo, omg you hair is long and full how I wish you can just borrow me for a week 🏃.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 yes o God has been so faithful to us, thank you my friend for stopping by. Please if you see any buy, help a sister. I'm tired of a hair that's not bone straight 🤣🤣
