Introduction

Good morning and a happy weekend my beautiful ladies and all other steemians, I trust you had a splendid night rest.

Thank you @steemladies for organizing. I'm still your girl @tripple-e. I was supposed to make this post yesterday with all the vibes I had after eating my delicious meal, but network no gree me(meant to say didn't allow me)😀😀, don't mind me as a Nigerian, sometimes pigin must show(smiles). So I'm here now

Before I start, let me share a quote with us....

True contentment is a thing as active as agriculture. It is the power of getting out of any situation all that there is in it."
-- Dorothy Whipple

I woke up yesterday morning, did my devotional, after that I did my squatting exercise routine, don't look at me like that, (whispering; I'm looking for hips🤭), then carried out other of my daily activities like sweeping, and mopping, there was no dirty plates to wash as I don't keep them overnight, so I decided to wash few dirty clothes instead. There was no battery in my phone to have taken pictures. So after I finished washing clothes, I did my personal care hygiene like; brushing my teeth and taking my bath. After that I ate my breakfast of the leftovers rice and egg sauce that was in the house.

So I decided to enter one of my neighbor's tailoring shop to do small amebo(gist), booooooom!!! Nepa brought light and I had to race back to my room to charge my phone very important; then I ironed my choir uniform too against Sunday. While my phone was on charge, I decided to enter steemit but nothing was responding, network was terrible.

Omg! After all the rigmarole, afternoon came:

I was hungry, there was no network connection for me to make use of my bank app to withdraw some cash, so I remembered that I had 1,200 cash in my bag, so I decided to create magic with it, I entered my kitchen to check what ingredient was available, just salt, palm oil and onions that I saw.

There's a woman that sells food stuffs in my street, so I didn't have to go to the market with how much sef🤣🤣🤣.
So I bought the following food items

Food itemAmount in NGNAmount in steem
Okra200 naira0.47 steem
Dry fish200 naira0.47 steem
Crayfish100 naira0.24 steem
Vegetables100 naira0.24 steem
Periwinkle(mfi)100 naira0.24 steem
Stockfish100 naira0.24 steem
Canda(cowskin)200 naira0.47steem
Fresh pepper100 naira0.24 steem
Seasoning cubes50 naira0.12 steem
Fufu(swallow)100 naira0.24 steem

The preparations

I first of all washed and sliced my okra into bits, alongside my vegetables, I washed all my other ingredients like; fish, canda, my stockfish and my periwinkle. I didn't want to season them, there was nothing there to season 😀, so I just sprinkled a little salt and allowed it for some minutes before using.

Images of my sliced okra, veggies and my fish them😀😀

Note: Make sure you cut your canda(cowskin) into tiny sizes; my darlings it will serve as a motivator when eating the food; aha! You don't know the joy that comes with accompanying your ball of fufu with the canda. Just try it and thank me later, what are friends for?

After all my ingredients were ready, i set my pot on my gas, allow the pot to dry, then I poured my palm or red oil inside the pot, put my sliced onions and okra, put water then pour in my ingredients, allow it to simmer for some minutes, apply my vegetables. Then I just stepped outside my kitchen and enjoy the aroma.chai...
Then boom my pot of soup was ready

My darlings instead of spending over 2000/3000 naira, that's 4.67/7 steem to buy a plate of food for lunch, I used just 1200 to something that I couldn't even finish it at once.

That's how to survive as a Nigerian in these times 🤣🤣🤣.
Cut your coat according to your size to avoid pressure.
