The world hardly ever sees the hidden stories that go on behind the scenes of our lives. These experiences, though unpleasant and messy, make up the beautiful picture that everyone admires.
My diary game is about my experience at work today.
Dawn: Setting Out
I started my day with a book in my hands. Then later a phone in my palm.
I agree spending time on the screen that early can be a bad habit. But it is what keeps me from falling into the temptation of jumping right into work at the break of dawn.
After reading and commenting on some recent Steemit posts, I moved on to replying important text messages and mails. Once done, I set out to write positive affirmations for myself.

Doing this every morning keeps me motivated and ready to face the challenges that may come my way during the day.
I have done this for a while now, even on days I barely believe what I have written. Still, those positive words stay in my subconscious and keep me going when I need the strong-will to push on.
Towards noon: My Boss' Call
I was still viewing other steemians' blog posts when my boss' call came in. My attention was needed at the office so I had to choose either to come there in-person later or join a virtual call immediately.
I chose what any Gen Z would choose - virtual call.
One benefit of working hybrid is the ability to do whatever you want, whenever and however you want.
Do not get me wrong.
What I mean is that you can develop a flexible routine that works for you.

While the meeting was on, I snuck out to retrieve my remaining papaya from the fridge. I enjoyed how the succulent fruit tasted inside my mouth and how it glided swiftly down my throat.
Trouble at Work
My boss had assigned some tasks to me. One of which was to give a review of the month's social media campaigns. The insight from last week revealed a slight decrease from the target. This is quite unusual since we always record results that exceeds the target. Although we had adopted a different approach in running the campaigns, I had expected greater outcome.
I had to message a colleague to trace the cause of the issue so we could table it to the boss.
Not hitting a target at work makes me visibly stressed. At this point, I decided to debug myself. So, I turned on my Boomplay, increased the sound to the loudest volume available and let Jo Dee Messina's voice cause a storm in my room.
We would continue some other day. For now, let's live for the moment.
