Yes, of course, we should teach our children the difference between a bad and a good touch. The society in which we live has individuals with different mindsets. We can't assume a child is safe in today's society; it has become a challenge for parents to protect their children from cruelty. As parents, we should do everything for our children's safety.
We can't always keep our children at home, considering today's society. We need to give them the freedom to explore and discover new things. Until they can stand on their own, it's the parent's responsibility to teach them what's right and wrong.
Children do not understand how cruel the world is; we should protect these innocent souls from danger. Therefore, teaching our children what a good touch and bad touch is becomes an essential life lesson to keep them safe and seek help whenever needed.
👆 Is this education necessary only for girls or is it necessary for boys also?
In Sri Lanka, many incidents involve boys facing challenges such as sexual abuse. Raising awareness on this topic can prevent cruelty to children. It's not just female children in danger but also male children. It is essential to teach our children the difference between a friendly pat on the shoulder and a bad touch on their private parts of the body.
A mom is a child's best friend who can teach children the best way to keep them safe. At a certain age, it is necessary to teach them these lessons so that they can talk about it openly, and parents can take necessary actions to avoid further complications.
👆 It is said that every girl has the power to sense whether she is right or wrong by touch.
Yes, it's true. However, some girls may feel shy or hesitant to share their bad experiences with their parents or close friends. It is important to encourage them to communicate whenever there is an unnecessary incident. As parents, I believe we should not allow our children to be in the care of strangers. Regardless of whether they are of an age to identify the difference or not, the total responsibility lies with parents to keep their children safe around strangers.
👆 This education should be taught to children only for outsiders or for the members of their own families. Express your views.
Nowadays, we hear about many sorrowful incidents where child abuse takes place within the family. Sometimes, children are not safe even among family members. In such cases, the danger is not only from outsiders but also from within the family. I remember we had an awareness program conducted by NCPA (The National Child Protection Authority) for our entire school on this topic. They taught all children to identify differences and to stay safe not only among strangers but also within the family.

I enjoyed your entry. I strongly believe that children has the right to know and learn everything they need to learn at early stage. Teaching them the good touch abd the bad touch shouldn't be exemption as most of them are not informed. I love your idea. Success to you!
