SLC-S21W4 | A correct makeup of eyebrows and lips

This week's class has been super exciting and a challenge for me as I haven't tried drawing my eyebrows on spot. I'm thankful to @almacaridad for sharing its process from its simplest form, teaching us from the basic. I truely enjoyed taking part in today's practical session. I hope I have able to perform the eyebrow makeup and lip makeup task as instructed.

💄 - Identify your type of eyebrows and makeup according to their shape, achieving a gradient at the beginning of them. Also, show and explain if you used eyeshadows, pomades, or which of the existing products to make them up. 04 points.

I have very light, soft-arched eyebrows. Today, I used an eye powder to shape and fill them in. It gives a very natural look to my eyebrows, I don't like to use too much product, which makes them look very artificial. Although I have had the product for sometime, I have never really known how to use it technically. I typically use it to fill in the gaps in my eyebrows.

As guided by @almacaridad, I will be doing this week's practical. I'm not very good at shaping my eyebrows. Today, I will follow the technique and try to achieve the flawless look shown by our teacher.

I threaded my eyebrows a few weeks back; I can see some stary hair here and there, so I will pluck my eyebrows with the help of a tweezer to get a clean look.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm not familiar with the process of drawing my eyebrows. However, I will follow the correct technique to shape them. Using the brush guide as shown, I will work on achieving the proper dimensions and creating a well-balanced look for my eyebrows.

Since my hair is dark, I will use a lighter shade of black to fill in my eyebrows. Here, I have drawn my lower line and then rechecked whether the dimensions are right.

Then, I started drawing the upper line leaving a space at the start and filling in the gaps without making any prominent lines in between.

With the help of a Spoolie brush, I will blend the products upwards from the start to the tail.

To finish off, I used concealer above and below my eyebrows to achieve a more natural and clean look.

In addition, research and explain what your type of lips are and what is the correct way to apply makeup and line them, whether they are droopy, thin, thick, asymmetrical, among others. 04 points

After doing some research, I noticed that I have sharp lips that can be outlined along their natural line to give them more definition.

I outlined my lips along its natural line because I believe it suits my lips and enhances the shape. I also prefer to keep my lips to be in their natural form.

Then, I applied the lipstick in a similar shade, followed by a lip gloss.

Here is the final look of my lip makeup application. This is the lip liner and the lipstick shade that I often use. It is from the brand Viana. It is a matte lipstick which is perfect for daily wear as It lasts long. The lip liner adds more depth and definition to my lips. I simply outline them to add more definition and elevate the overall look of my lip makeup.

Whenever we purchase a cosmetic product, it is essential to check the manufacturing and expiry dates. We often use products for years without discarding them, even after they have expired. However, everyday makeup should be thoroughly checked and discarded when the product has expired. It can be worth a lot but we use these products on our skin or on very sensitive areas such as the eyes. It is crucial to prioritize safety.

Most products have an icon that shows how long that product lasts after opening, or they mention the number of years it can be used from the date of manufacture. To avoid wastage and ensure safety, I prefer purchasing smaller versions of the products. Because it can be easily used within a specific period and there will be less wastage. This is only applicable to those who don't use makeup frequently and only if the brands offer sample-sized versions.
