SLC-S21W6 | Evening Makeup

I can't believe we have reached the sixth week of this learning session! I truly admire our teacher, @almacaridad for her time and effort. This course has helped us immensely to improve our knowledge of makeup.

This is the first time I'll be trying the "smokey eyes" look on myself. I'm so excited to try out the shading technique. Let's see how it turns out for me.😊

As learned in the previous modules, I started by doing my eyebrows. Using a beveled brush, I sprayed some water so it would get a better pigment. I began by drawing a line beneath my eyebrows. Then, leaving a small gap in front, I drew a line above filling the space in between. While drawing I made sure that the shape of my eyebrows was right. I finished off by blending the product with the help of a spoolie brush.

After covering my eyelids with concealer, I applied a black pigment on the area next to my eyelash to create a smokey eye look. Then, I went with a dark brown shade on my eyelid and then blended with the black tone.

Then I outlined my eyes. Lastly, I used a shimmer eyeshadow to compliment the evening makeup look. As you can see, this is how I achieved the smokey eye look.

💄 Make a skin makeup for the night, in which you achieve good coverage on the face, and also mattify your skin; You should illuminate the areas that were explained in class. Also, make up your lips defining them as best as possible; You are free to use soft (nude) or strong tones according to your taste. 04 points

After completing the eye makeup, I used concealer to cover my dark circles and other blemishes. Then, I applied foundation over the concealer to achieve better coverage. After applying the foundation, I set it with powder. I did a little bit of contouring to the bridge of my nose and cheekbones blending it into my face. Finally, I applied blush, completing most of my skin makeup.

Lastly, I outlined my lips and applied lipstick, followed by a lip balm.

This six-week course has been a great influence to develop our insights on achieving a good makeup look that suits our unique face types. I'm thankful to our teacher for taking the time to share the great knowledge with us simplifying the learning process. Doing such practical classes virtually is challenging and I believe she took the challenge very well. There is so much that I learned from these modules, and experiencing different looks was especially fascinating.

I think the most complex part for me was learning to do Contouring and highlighting. With the guidance of our lovely teacher @almacaridad, I was able to correct my mistakes and make my skin makeup technically perfect. I liked learning the cut crease technique module because eyeshadows are my favorite makeup part. Learning this technique was exciting and rewarding because I really liked the results I achieved experimenting with the cut crease technique. However, I enjoyed taking part in all the modules of makeup in this six-week course. It has helped me a lot to do my makeup more confidently than before.
