Today I'm here to participate in this amazing contest which is organized by @khursheedanwar in this Healthy Steem community. The topic of this contest is "Awareness About AIDS". What do you know about AIDS causes?

Friends the term AIDS stands for Acquired immuno Deficiency Syndrome which is a disease of humans immune system. If we talk about the main cause of AIDS then it is the HIV which stands for human immune virus which directly affect the immune system of humans when it enters in the body through different means. It weakens our immune system which results in lack of its activity of fighting against the infections.

Then we prone to viral infections, bacterial and other infections very easily Within the shorter intervals of time. As the our immune system is acts as a security of our body which fights against the diseases through its T cells which are actually called CD 4 cells. But when HIV enters our bodies in directly target these cells and affect their working very badly. Let's have a look at some main causes of AIDS.

• Aids can be caused through unprotected sexual activities such having a sex with the person who is already suffering from AIDS can transfer AIDS to our body as well.

• The multi sexual activities such having sex with more than one person within the shorter intervals of time can cause AIDS.

• Also injecting IV drugs to more than one person with the same syringe can be a cause of spreading of AIDS.

• Shaving many people with the same razor or blaze can also cause AIDS from one person to other.

• AIDS can also be transferred from mother to her baby during breastfeeding and also to her husband during sex.

What do you know about AIDS treatment?

Yes in the past few years some treatments for HIV or AIDS have been created by the expert physicians and using the technology. To deal with aids it is very important to take into count the HIV because it is the main reason behind the spreading of AIDS. So there is a very useful technique or therapy which was discovered by the physicians is ART which is known as Anti Retroviral therapy. That is the technique which can deal with aids patients effectively.

This is because tha ART is consists of a combination of different medicine which directly target the HIV and it's life cycle due to which their spread or symptoms remain in control and the life span of a person can also increase. It is also helps the immune system to recover and in coming back to its original state but it is not quite easy because several therapies are required over the shorter intervals of time.

What do you know about AIDS preventive measures?

Yes definitely the preventive measures for any disease is very crucial to reduce the affects of that disease and also to save ourselves from the spread of the disease. But in case of AIDS we have to be more careful because it is more fatal, nasty and dangerous than other diseases. Anyways let's have a look at some preventive measures of AIDS.

• Always have safe sexual activities and use condoms so that you can keep yourself away from the spread of AIDS.

• Never use a needle twice and dispose the needles or syringes after using them at once.

• Always use your own shaving instruments like blades and shaving machines etc.

• Also have laboratory tests of AIDS of you and your partner before getting married.

• Try to test the milk of mother if she is at breastfeeding stage to keep the child safe.
