Assalamualaikum

Hi steemian readers, as usual tonight we will discuss interesting things that are important for us to know, one of the most important things for us to know is the environmental problems that are our place of residence, among the many problems that occur we will discuss problems that are often ignored by people but it turns out that these problems have great potential for environmental problems, one of which is noise pollution, sounds strange right?, let's discuss it!

Noise pollution is a type of pollution that occurs due to excessive noise or sounds that have the potential to interfere with comfort, health, or other activities. The sources of noise pollution usually include the sound of vehicles in the form of transportation, factories, construction equipment, to human activities that turn on loud music, or even crowds of people in their activities.

What are the common sources of noise pollution in your area, and how do they affect your daily life?

Noise pollution often occurs in big cities that have many factories and many vehicle users, as well as dense populations. I myself live in an area far from the crowds, a small town far from the word noise, even our city has an unwritten rule but it has become a habit of its residents, namely using the Horn only in urgent situations, even when traffic jams occur, we still do not enliven the atmosphere with horns that can only interfere with hearing because loud sounds can interfere with physical health. Our body responds to loud sounds as stress that can affect various systems in the body, one of the impacts of which is hearing damage. Sounds with high frequencies or intensities can damage hair cells in the cochlea or what is commonly called the snail house, located in the inner ear, this damage can cause temporary or long-term hearing loss. And not only that, there are still many other negative impacts of noise pollution that are considered trivial.

How do you think noise pollution impacts our health and well-being in the long term

Noise pollution has a huge impact on our health and well-being in the long term, one example of which is the impact on sleep disturbances. Noise pollution at night can disrupt rest time and the quality of deep sleep, which is important for energy recovery, lack of quality sleep can reduce the body's resistance so that it can increase the risk of chronic diseases.

What are some effective ways to reduce noise pollution in urban areas?

An effective way to reduce noise pollution in urban areas, among others, we can do urban greening. Trees can absorb and dampen sound especially along highways and densely populated areas. In addition, we can ask the public to be wiser in using vehicles, especially horns.

Can you think of a creative solution?

Solutions that can reduce noise pollution require cooperation between the government, the community, and the use of technology.

From the government itself, it can plan city development, namely by creating distance between industrial and residential areas and designating certain zones for activities that cause noise, such as industrial areas.
From the community itself, it can apply principles in socializing, one of which is having ethics in driving by reducing the use of unnecessary horns.
From technology users, they can create the latest technology such as using electric vehicles that are quieter than fossil fuel vehicles and also create new innovations by using soundproofing technology on noisy machines such as heavy equipment.

If you could design a quiet zone in your community, what features would it have, and why?

Perhaps for a safer and more peaceful life, it would be better if we as humans who live socially with society to avoid conflict and also maintain peace, it is better to take steps by making houses using soundproofing and that is a good breakthrough, considering that we can live a safer and more peaceful life.

How do you think technology can help us combat noise pollution in the future?

Maybe in the next few years there will be innovations that make this technology a reality, for example now we can see in European cars many use soundproofing features to avoid noise that can.

This is my entry for the Health Problems (14) contest; NOISE POLLUTION organized by brother @sahmie, I also want to invite @dekki, buk @sailawana and also @ikwal to participate together in this contest.
