Cleanliness of our teeth is very important in this life because it prevent our teeth from damaging, that's why dentist recommend that every humans must clean their teeth at least 2 times in a day.
• We must first of all apply toothpaste to our toothbrush especially toothpaste that is accepted by regulatory body.
• We should gently cleaning up our teeth to remove the gums that have sticky to our teeth.
• Our tongue should be also clean gently in order to avoid mouth odour.
• Before we sleep, we must brush up our teeth to remove harmful bacteria that can cause teeth decaying.
Some food we eat cause oral health problem, humans like most of these food in facts we eat them everyday without knowing the side effect associate with it.
85℅ household in Nigeria consumed bread, bread contains sugar and flour which sticky to our teeth. The more bacteria they produce if they sticky for a long period of time.
Popcorn is another food that trapped in different corner of our teeth, after eating popcorn we should rinse our teeth with water in order to prevent germs from occurring.
Starchy food like potato can also cause harmful bacteria to our oral health problem if they get trapped in between our teeth.
Pako-Ijebu known as chewing stick is one of the traditional technique that have been used in the olden day. Many Africans still use this chewing stick to clean up their teeth and remove all tooth decay.
Once you hold the stick put it into your mouth, continue chewing the stick, use it gently to brush the teeth for like 5 minutes.
I prefer traditional method of cleaning my teeth because it is not that expensive and it also help my teeth to be shine all day.
• We must clean our teeth regularly with the soft toothbrush so that it can easily remove the gums and not to cause another damage to our teeth.
• Visit dentist as earlier as possible in order to receive proper treatment.
• We should avoid smoke, smoke have negative effect to our health in which can contribute to mouth odour and also give our teeth different colors.
• We should drink plenty water instead of sugary drink this will enables us to stay healthy and prevent us from germs that may occurs.
