Hi steemians,
Good sleep improves our overall wellbeing and helps us to stay healthy for a long period of time. Sleep is essential, which is why healthcare professionals encourage individuals to have enough sleep so that they can gain more strength.

Sleeping at the right time is important because it improves our brain performance as well as emotional stability. Sleep, like good exercise, is necessary so that it can prolong our life. I don't like to wake up someone else if they are sleeping because I know the benefits of good sleep, which support our immune system to function at a normal level. The experts recommended for us to sleep as much as possible for us to be stronger and look healthy all the time. The age depends on certain hours required to spend.
An adult is recommended to sleep 8 hours at night, and if they have inadequate ability to sleep, they may have health issues such as stroke, high blood pressure, and other health problems. Children above 1 year old need to sleep for 9-12 hours a day. Although sleep patterns may change especially for older people, because some may sleep more than younger adults while some older adults may also wake up 2 or 3 times a day. It's crucial to visit hospital if you experience lack of sleep so that they can give you appropriate treatment.
Lack of sleep is harmful to our health. If care is not taken, it can result in chronic illness. We must try as much as possible to find time to sleep in order to restore the energy we have lost. Below are the health issues which lack of sleep can cause.

• Lack of Energy
• Mental health problem
• Forgetfulness
• Poor functioning of immune system
• Lack of energy: This will affect our healthy lifestyle by contributing negatively to accomplishing certain tasks. Lack of sleep can decrease our performance in doing things we like, particularly engaging in the most interesting activities.
• Forgetfulness: Inadequate sleep affects our ability to remember the most important things. This often occurs as a result of stress we encounter in the workplace, so we do not have time to relax our brain, which will eventually result in forgetfulness to the extent that our brain will go blank when trying to recall past and present issues.
• Mental health problems: Lack of sleep can result in mental disorders such as depression, which is very common among humans. Sleepless nights will contribute poorly to our mental stability, likely affecting the person to experience different types of mental disorders.
• Ineffective functioning of the immune system: a person experiencing sleeplessness can have a weakened immune system, which gives the immune system an inability to fight against infectious diseases. Sometimes it may take a long time to restore to a normal position. There was a time when I experienced a sleepless night, and the following day I developed catarrh, fever, and headache. However, later I ate food, took medicine, and slept, which helped me to fully recover.

Oversleeping varies from one person to another. This excessive sleeping leads to health problems in some cases. Time that should be used for productive activities is instead used for sleeping for a long period of time, which can affect our day-to-day activities. Some experts believe that excessive sleeping may occur as a result of a disorder. This term is very common and not new to everybody. Oversleeping has been linked to health problems such as heart diseases, diabetes, and sometimes it can lead to death. Socioeconomic can also cause excessive sleeping to happen to people who do not have full access to healthcare, which may continually put their lives at risk.
Sleeping is very important and we must take it seriously because it prepares our brain to remember and learn things quickly. Through sleeping, our brain functions effectively and efficiently to solve some problems. I would like to invite @rossnenye, @malikusman1 and @solaymann to participate in this contest.
