A cervicogenic headache is a kind of cerebral pains. At the point when we have issues in the cervical spine or in the locale of neck then we succumb to this kind of cerebral pain. Personal Experience with Tension Headaches
Alhamdulillah I have never had a cervicogenic headache. I face other tension headaches and these are similar to this. Being a human it is normal for everyone to feel tension headaches. I get three to four tension headaches a month on average. These tensions headaches often arises due to the stress and poor posture. It also arises whenever I stay too much on the screen. If I am sleepless and I am not getting complete or enough sleep for the rest then I also face these tension headaches. In the start the pain is slow and gradually I start feeling the pain in the whole head and my complete body becomes upset and disturb.
I use the combination of stretching, hydration, and stress relief through deep breathing, as well as short breaks from screens, to help me control my tension headaches. More than that, proper posture and regular exercise significantly diminish the headache frequency.
Cervicogenic headaches are indeed disabling, but the knowledge of symptoms, causes, and treatment can help in getting relief. If you often have headaches accompanied by neck pain, it would be a good idea to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Lifestyle modifications, proper posture, and the right therapies will do a lot to manage and prevent these headaches.
