Thank you to @dexsyluz for this beautiful contest and the opportunity to write about this topic on HIV. Am going to be doing justice to this with the hints given.
The issues of HIV and the patients who have it has been one that can’t be said to be overly emphasized. On growing up I noticed that HIV became very popular in my teens age and then it was as if it was a death sentence that had no recovery from or no way to manage.

It made so much wave over here in my country Nigeria that if you hear that someone had HIV, you wouldn’t even want to have anything to do with that person. It was a death sentence before you actually die. Many people even died from the knowledge of knowing that they had HIV than from the disease itself.
The discrimination against people with HIV was quite much in my country. I happened to know someone who had HIV. She was a young girl who got it from sleeping around with different men. She actually lived a very bad life when she was younger but changed when she was down with the virus.
The lady in question was able to diagnose this on time and hence she was able to start her treatment on time hence the viral load was greatly reduced. She had a room mate who knew of her HIV status and they related very well. She live with her room mate for about four years during their days in the university.
The room mate didn’t discriminate her but she was very careful as a preventive measure not to use her personal belongings such as sharing blades, combs and all. I happen to visit them once in a while and you wouldn’t even know ia situation like that existed if you weren’t told. Her room mates acceptance and understanding really helped her a lot.
People with HIV should be employed. They need money to take care of themselves and live hence they should not be discriminated against. They should only be educated properly at their work place and be under surveillance so that they do not transfer the Virus to unsuspecting colleagues.
HIV cannot be cured but it can be managed. The patient who had HIV can actually live as long as every other person as long as he or she was able to diagnose it on time before the viral load becomes to much. The HIV patient must also ensure that he or she is constantly taking their medications and doing all that the doctors prescribed.
As long as they do this, they can be able to carry out their normal live activities without much hassle. The lady Am talking about in the previous paragraph actually went ahead and got married. She was very consistent with her medication that the HIV viral load went down to the barest minimum. It’s been years now and she’s still alive and living well. HIV cannot be cured but it can be managed.
I hope I’ve been able to do justice to this topic. Thank you for dropping by. I invite @ruthjoe and @hlorgic to participate in this contest.

Thanks for the invite.
People with HIV are human, the are nothing less. They need our support and love and not discrimination. Left for them, they won't want to be in that condition.
Best wishes in your entry

Hola querido
De eso se trata, de tener empatía y consideración con las personas. No podemos pensar que si las personas tienen una enfermedad entonces no son humanas, todo lo contrario. Gracias por participar y espero que tengas una buena tarde
saludos!!
