My Humble Greetings to Healthy Steem Community. I'm so excited to participate in this very contest topic organize by @khursheedanwar and I wish to share with all my humble opinion and contributions.
- A "cough" is indeed a natural reflex that do helps to clear our airways of "mucus, irritants, and the germs" definitely. While remorsefully a very short cough can be really normal and usually goes away so quickly, a 'prolonged cough' seems to lasts more than three weeks. Definitely this can be so concerning and may really signal underlying health issues.
Is It Normal to Have a Cough for More Than One Month?
I strongly say No, I don't agree 👍 or think it's normal by any way at all. If a person have a cough that really lasts more than four weeks, it’s so much important to see a doctor or any health personel. Coughing 🤧 for such a long time seriously indicate widely that something isn't right with the body. It could sometimes be due to the allergies, asthma, or even an infections like the bronchitis or pneumonia.
What Can Happen If a Cough Is Untreatable After One Month?
If a cough by chance goes untreated for like a month, it can 💯 percent leads to more of a serious health problems. For example here:
- Chronic Bronchitis: This very condition can be develop, determining long-lasting coughing and a mucus production.
- Pneumonia: If probably the lungs get infected 🤢, it as well may lead to a serious breathing issues.
- Asthma: A Prolonged coughing can really worsen the asthma symptoms or strongly trigger asthma attacks.
- Lung Damage: A Long-term coughing always harm the lung tissues and do affect the overall health.
Have You Ever Suffered from Prolonged Cough?
Yes I did, but I'm glad to say it's been a long time since I had it or experience such health attack. When then I had a prolonged cough, it was to me so uncomfortable and made it so hard for me to breathe well.
- It arise curiosity and reminded me how important it is to always listen to my bodies and so get help when it doesn’t feel right and I begged 🙏 we all Should do same and take actions early enough.
Conclusion
A prolonged cough should not necessarily be ignored please my dear colleagues. If you or maybe someone you know is seriously coughing for over a month or better weeks, it’s so best to rush and consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and proper treatment at early stage. "Taking good 👍 care of our own health is very much essential and Compulsory!"
I'm inviting @bossj23, @saintkelvin17 and @mhizta to come share thought 💭 on this demanding health hazard.
Thank You All For Reading
Nice one sharing with us. It’s good to know all the bad symptoms that would take place if we refused to treat cough at early stage.
A prolonged cough is not something we wish to experience cause you won’t feel comfortable at all, always on a coughing which won’t help at all especially when you have some tasks to do.
I happen not to like the cold weather because of cough and others sickness that comes along with the weather.
I’m glad you were able to treat your cough, haven’t been a victim of prolonged cough and I don’t wish to cause have hear stories and believe me they are not good at all. Thanks to those that treated it and survived without having any bad symptoms that affect their health.
