WHAT IS SELF CARE


Self care is the actions we take toward ourselves to make sure that we have a healthy living, there are those things we ensure that no matter what we have to carry it out for us to live fine. Self-care involves taking care of our physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

HOW I PRIORITISE SELF CARE IN MY DAILY ROUTINE .


Despite my busy schedule as a mother, I always ensure that caring for myself too is a priority, I carried out some activities to keep me fit, for example ;

I always have enough sleep to keep me balance, taking care of a new born baby always deprive one of a quality sleep, but I always try to sleep especially when my baby is asleep, I don't use to do other house chores when it is sleeping time, so sleep is very important for me and it helps to keep me healthy and sound.

I also ensure I eat healthy foods that contains all the nutrients essential to human health, good food helps the body to be healthy and it doesn't allow me to get sick .

Rest is good too, sometimes I do take some rest from working, I may not necessarily sleep but just relaxing and calming myself down helps a lot

Exercise is another important thing I do to make sure that I take care of myself, I do take a walk down the street because that's the most easiest one I could do for now.


IMPORTANCE OF SELF CARE FOR OVERALL WELL BEING


Self care is importance for the overall well being of humans, if the body is weak and sick, it cannot function properly and handles daily activities, so taking care of one self will help to make the body relaxed, the body will not get sick easily and stressed will be reduced, it will also help to reduce anxiety. Therefore physical, mental, and emotional care of one self will make the body stay healthy and happy.


TAKING TIME TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF DESPITE MY BUSY SCHEDULE


I set goals and abide by it. I do not deprive myself sleep when it is time, I do not stay hungry when it is meal time.
These are the goals I set, to work with this goals successfully, I ensure I do the things I am to do on time, I do not priorities anything above my self, I made sure I take care of myself first before anything else.


SELF-CARE PRACTICES THAT IS MORE BENEFICIAL TO ME


  1. Sleep: if I don't have enough sleep, I will be dizzy all day and cannot handle any task

  2. Eat healthy: if I eat unhealthy foods, I will be sick.

  3. Exercise: if I don't take a walk for a day, my body will be weak and tired throughout the day.

CONCLUSION:


Self-care is very important to human health, and there are several ways of taking care of the body. It varies from person to person, what works for me may not work for the other person, so we have to examine ourselves and carry out the one that is good for us.

  • Sleep is good for recovering and getting your muscles relaxed.
  • As having a new born; your care for it becomes very effective and you have to leave your work and focus on is development.
