Introduction

Hello ladies and gentlemen of STEEM health I'm delighted to be back in this awesome and very educative group and to participate in the contest by @sahmie. The pollution series has been awesome I've been observing and taking down notes from the knowledge being dished out by the community.

I'll have the pleasure to begin the presentation following the guidelines of the contest.

What are some common sources of noise pollution in your area, and how do they affect your daily life?

Common sources of noise pollution in my area includes cars honking, bikes vrooming loud speakers of bars and snacks, and now that we don't have electricity there are lots of generators also making noise.

How do you think noise pollution impacts our health and well-being in the long run?

From my point of view, noise pollution impacts our health negatively by making out ear drums beat more times than normal due to the overwhelming frequencies which the noise creates and also makes our brain over work itself in the process of processing the frequencies received from the ears.

It becomes too loud for persons to take a nap or focus properly on a task which needs to be done. Focus is the secret recipe to accomplishing any task if it's taking away by noise then tasks won't be properly done, education becomes compromised since students have to deal with the noise around.

What are some effective ways to reduce noise pollution in urban areas? Can you think of any creative solutions?

To effectively reduce noise pollution I suggest using noise cancelling headphones or air pods especially when indoors and trying to work on a project this makes sure no unwanted frequency is heard.
You can also have your rooms or halls cancel out noise by insulating them with thick foams on the inside.

Now that was for the individual, generally to reduce noise pollution I'd advise that a noise regulation law be put by the government to penalise anyone who produces very high frequencies if it's from cars or what not.

If you could design a quiet zone in your community, what features would it have, and why?

A quiet zone would be a very relaxing place for anyone who wishes to escape from the noise and find themselves in their thoughts, the features it would have would be nature, it would be at a very far side,
it would be a house which have insulated doors, walls and windows, the house would be by the sea side or in nature's blossom where we can here the birds chirp and the trees rub each other to give that intimacy with nature.

How do you think technology can help us combat noise pollution in the future?

Technology can help us combat noise pollution in so many ways..
Firstly technology can be modified to identify very high frequency and this can be used to inform the person producing the frequency to stop or reduce it, hence combating noise pollution.

Technology is of help when it comes to escaping the noise without escaping the noise. With noise cancelling headphones, one can create a noise free environment in the midst of noise and so they automatically defeat the pollution.

Conclusion

It is wise to say we possess the power to combat noise pollution though there are places where no matter what we do there will still be noise pollution there like markets, and industrial zones. Nonetheless we can create noise free environments where citizens can escape the noise and enjoy a zone free of noise pollution like parks for the betterment of our societies. I invite @rafk, @patjewell to the contest.
