Over the years it has been of great importance and advantage to the human race some of which are:

β€’ Saving Lives: a certain donor could actually save up to five lives or more by donating vital organs like the heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, and many more.

β€’ Improving the Quality of Life: Organ and tissue donation can greatly improve the life of the receiver especially those with chronic diseases or conditions, especially kidney failure.

β€’ Medical Research: Actually, in some cases, donated organs and tissues that are not considered suitable for transplantation could be used in medical researches, there by help in advancement of medical science and development of new treatments.

β€’ Reduction of mortality rate and waiting list: Thousands of people die each year waiting for organ transplants. By donating, you help reduce the number of patients in need awaiting organ transplant and at the same time reduce death records.

Despite these benefits that accrue organ donation. For organ donation to take place, the following must be done:

β€’ Consent of Donor: First of all, Organ donation usually requires the consent of the donor and their family, though this principle varies with regards to certain country’s legal framework.

β€’ Prohibition of Organ Trade: In most countries, organ donation is done for free with no room for sale or purchase there by making it nearly impossible to benefit from the donation of organs.

To have more knowledge on the specific laws on organ donation in a particular country, one has to consult the local health or legal authorities.

However, the concept of organ donation has also raised ethical, cultural, and religious concerns for some people, and it's also very important to consider these factors based on personal beliefs and values.

I will invite @adylinah, @kafio and @dequeen to join the contest.
