Hello Steemains, it was nice having you all on my blog today; I would like to thank @helengutier2 for organizing such a contest that speaks on temporary teeth.
🦷 At what age do temporary teeth erupt, how many are there and how are they classified?
The human's temporary teeth, also known as a baby or primary teeth start to erupt around 6 months of age and then increase to 20 teeth when the child is 3 years old. The teeth are classified as central incisors, canines, lateral incisors, and molars, with two of each type in each jaw quadrant.
Facts about temporary teeth.
The teeth usually erupt beginning from 6 months old; the teeth are 20 in number; the central incisors are known as the frontmost teeth, the lateral incisors are always next to the central incisors, and the canines are pointed teeth; lastly, the molars, which possess broader chewing surface.
🦷 What is the importance of keeping temporary teeth in the mouth and avoiding early tooth extractions?
Making sure that your temporary teeth are still in your mouth is important because they serve as placeholders for the permanent teeth, enabling proper eruption and alignment, and its early extraction can result in things like misalignment, overcrowding, permanent teeth, and potential speaking difficulties if removed early. The temporary teeth help in maintaining space in the jaw for the permanent teeth to erupt properly.
Reason for avoiding early tooth 🦷 extraction.
The temporary teeth, as we all know, fall off when it is due time for the permanent or adult teeth to erupt; if removed prematurely, the teeth can shift into the space, which then causes improper positioning of the permanent teeth and crowding. Avoiding premature or early removal of temporary teeth can help in space maintenance.
The temporary teeth are essential for good speech articulation; when they are lost early, it can affect the child's ability to enunciate.
The baby teeth help in the stimulation of the development of the jawbone.
The temporary teeth are necessary for chewing food into tiny particles for proper digestion.
Moreover, it is also necessary to know that it is sometimes good to extract temporary teeth in case of severe decay, also the permanent tooth may want to erupt in the wrong position and is blocked by the baby tooth, it is, therefore important to extract the baby tooth, I conclude this by saying that we should always seek the advice of a dentist to know that way forward in the extraction of teeth more especially the temporary teeth.
🦷 Tell me about your experience with your temporary teeth. Did they fall out on their own or did you have to take them to the dentist to have them extracted?
My temporary teeth fell off by themselves; my teeth began to fall when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I was scared the first time it was about to fall off because I did not know my tooth fell when I came of age, I then told my mom that my tooth was Shaking badly and that I thought it wanted to fall, and she answered by saying that it will fall and get replaced with a permanent tooth.
It was really painful when the tooth was about to fall, but after the tooth fell I became okay.
🦷 How to care for temporary teeth.
We can care for our temporary teeth by flossing and gentle brushing, avoiding sticky, hard, or crunchy foods, and likewise being mindful of extreme temperatures because they can loosen the temporary cement.
Avoid consuming hard foods like raw carrots, nuts, crusty bread, and hard candy.
Not eating sticky foods like toffee, gum, and caramel.
Reduce the consumption of very hot or cold beverages.

I can imagine how scary it might have been to experience your first teeth falling out, especially when your teeth start shaking out of nowhere, and this can give you difficulty in chewing or eating.
But it's great that your mom was there to reassure you and explain that your teeth will grow again.
Your experience and your write-up are amazing; keep up.
