Hello friends and welcome to my article in this week's edition of the SEC: S16/W5 in this Greta community and I would be sharing and I do hope you enjoy my article.

"In your country what type of ancient medicine did they perform?"

In my country ancient medicine was really most rampant. The use of leaves and natural herbs helped the treatment of various diseases. It was a thing to solace to the men of old in my country. A child gets injured and the best of nutritious leaves are squeezed out and the injury salted. It would pain for a while but eventually it becomes healed over time.

Generally, in my country the use of herbs and leaves are traced to the roots. The ancient men and women chose the best if leaves and herbs, takes time to boil and bring our the extruded juice from these concoction. It is a beauty as they treat various ailments with this procedure. He remains the solution for generations.

The ancient medicine is indeed a saviour to most people of my country both down history lane and presently. We would constantly boil various medicinal leaves and in cases of fever, a big bucket would brought, the smoothie juice concoction from the veggies hot is put in the bucket, face immersed in the steam and covered with a thick blanket. You get to inhale the healthy heat which makes them sweat heavily ending up loosing the fever and becoming healthy once again.

My honest opinion is the ancient medicine worked seamlessly and is believed to have healed our parents and generations before us. We therefore believe in the efficacy of the ancient medicine as a solution to our health complications.

"Can you describe some element they used at the time? What was the special use of each one?"

Palm oil potash was used when someone was big by a snake to neutralize the venom at the time, the spot was punctured and the victim takes the solution. Garlic was mostly used when bit by a scorpion. The victim was always given garlic to take to ease the pain, neutralizing the effect on the body.

Paw-paw leaf and dogoyaro was the mixture which was boiled over water to enhance the diasppearance if fever and most times are some chronic symptoms of various imaginary diseases. Bitter Kola was used as a charm neutralizer, if someone was feeling as though he is being tortured or disturbed spiritually, or signs if diabolism, putting the bitter Kola in the mouth and some in the pocket had an effect as it neutralised diabolism.

Tumeric was often used by beautiful ladies together with carrot mashed and added little water, served and processed to make sure their skin glowed. It worked like magic giving them radiant and glowing skin. Aloe vera was used by these beautiful women to darken their hard and give it a shiny lustre and radiant style. It remains our ancient truth in my country.

There was a raid of deadly disease in the community. People were dying for no just cause, they were showing symptoms of flu, fever and dizziness. It gave them concern, the village herbalist summoned a meeting with his ancient herbal chiefs. They came together picked some special leaves from the deep forest, and cut it into tiny pieces mixed with water and boiled for a good long time. The victim of the sickness were all gathered in a room. The heating steam from the cooking condition revealed the air, sneezing and coughing took place, the crowded room of sick people sweating profusely over the steam! Their sicknesses evaporated with the steam and they were whole again. Ancient medicine was a saviour to their ailments
