INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone, happy weekend from me, @destinedhanok from Nigeria. I'm happy to be participating in this contest by @khursheedanwar where I'll be talking about my hair routine, when and how I take care of my hair health. Hair is one of the first thing one looks at when meeting a person, and the way you handle your hair can either make it healthy leading to growth or make it unhealthy making it unkempt. So stay tune as I take you through my hair routine.

MY HAIR TYPE

There are different types of hair porosity. I have high porosity hair. This means that my hair absorbs moisture quickly and looses it. I'm carrying a virgin hair, this means that I don't put relaxer in my hair and virgin hair is very difficult to carry, and it can cut of not well handled with the right products.

PRODUCTS I USE IN MY HAIR

I use products that are meant for my kind of hair. I also use some natural things too. Examples of the things I use on my virgin hair are

• Shea butter

• Good hair cream

• Moisturizer

• Shampoo

• Conditioner

• Avocado pear

• Rice water

MY HAIR ROUTINE

In carrying virgin hair, one has to make protective styles so as to avoid breakage. Unlike a relaxed hair, virgin hair is very strong and prone to breakage. So I make protective styles and lose it after two weeks, then I wash my hair and add all the things that will soften and grow it before making another protective style.

This style makes the hair longer and also stops it from cutting

In a situation where I do not want to carry a hairdo that will last for only two weeks, I do braiding using attachment or wool. I carry this one fir st least a month before loosening it after which I wash my hair before making a protective style.

• Another way of having a healthy hair is through the food we eat. Eating a balanced diet also help a person have a healthy hair. Fruits are also important in having a healthy hair.

• Drinking enough water is another way of getting a healthy hair. Water is very important when talking about having healthy hair. So these are my hair routine.

One can use very expensive products and still not have healthy hair. One can also use simple everyday things and have healthy hair. It's all about knowing your hair and applying the right products and the right methods.
