There are so many bad habits, the longer we stay in them, the harder it is to eliminate them. For example, a person who likes to eat sweets. It starts with a few sweets, and after a few months, we don't even notice how we fall into this trap and eat more and more. I had an alcohol habit. It started with a few beers, and after a while, I started to overdo it. I didn't realize how much time and money I lost. It was hard to stop, but after a while, I started playing sports and now it's my habit, only a good one.

A habit can turn into an addiction. As I mentioned above about alcohol, a habit can be that we drink a glass of wine with a meal, but when we start drinking more and more of it, the habit turns into an addiction. How do you tell? Well, it's not easy. These two statements are very similar, I think it's a matter of the amount of what we do. Another big difference is that a habit is simply an automatic habituation to a given activity, and an addiction is a state where you already have to take another dose.

Giving up bad habits is a tough challenge. I know for myself. It's hard, but it's doable. You have to set goals in life and follow them. Self-discipline is also very important. I imagined I had a personal trainer in my head, and I heard his voice say, "You can do it." Funny, but it helped me a lot. I recommend you try this way. A good way out is also to go to a psychologist, who will explain to us how habits work. When we know more about a problem, we know better how to solve it. I have been to a psychologist many times and as it turned out most of my problems were not even problems. I exaggerated everything in my head. We need to understand how the human brain works and what traps it puts us in life. Psychology. I wish you all the best.
