Bloating is a very common digestive problem in humans that may occur due to various reasons. Bad eating habits, allergies to certain foods and digestive problems are various factors that cause bloating problems. When someone experiences bloating, the stomach will feel uncomfortable and cause pain. Bloating can happen to anyone, both children and adults. Bloating is generally caused by various habits that may be done unintentionally. Starting from eating too much or too fast, consuming spicy and fatty foods. It can also be caused by lying down after eating, drinking using a straw, and smoking.
The cause of bloating usually occurs due to the large amount of gas or air that accumulates in the digestive tract. Bloating can also occur due to the influence of certain health disorders related to the digestive tract system. According to what I understand, bloating is actually not that dangerous, but if it occurs continuously you need to be careful, because this could be a symptom of an illness. Flatulence can indicate gastric acid reflux disease, chronic inflammation of the large intestine, long-term disorders of the digestive system, and even colon cancer.
However, what you need to be careful of is that if bloating still occurs and doesn't improve within a few days, you should not delay getting checked immediately and seeing a doctor. Persistent flatulence can be a sign of ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, or stomach cancer. Some of the causes of bloating that I read about from various sources include: The first cause of bloating is excess bacterial growth in the intestines, known as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Digestive problems can cause bloating, such as inflammation of the colon, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, from constipation to gastoparesis. Leftover food that hardens and settles for too long in digestion produces gas which causes bloating.
Bloating can be treated with various medical drugs. Bloating complaints can also be treated with several natural remedies. Even though it is often harmless, bloating often causes discomfort. One easy way to treat bloating is to drink ginger water. Ginger is known as a natural medicine for bloating which is obtained from the natural compound gingerol. Apart from treating bloating, ginger can also help relieve nausea. Dissolve ¼ – ½ teaspoon of ginger powder in a glass of hot water, then let it sit for 5 minutes, then drink it. Boil a few slices of fresh ginger and drink the boiled water. Don't forget to add enough honey or sugar to reduce the spicy taste of the ginger water.
