What Are Your Senses? Which Of Them Is Your Favorite And Why?
It is a well-known fact that there are basically five (5) prominent sense organs possessed by humans and some other animals. It's a privilege that I have these senses intact. According to our basic knowledge, the sense organs and their response are as follows:
Sense | Response |
---|---|
Nose | Smelling |
Ear | Hearing |
Eyes | Seeing |
Skin | Feeling and responding to stimuli |
Tongue | Tasting |
It is a true thing to say that none of the above-mentioned senses is less important since existence is concerned. In the same way, none can be placed above the other as they are interconnected and controlled by the same NS (Nervous System) hence, one cannot relatively function well when another is affected. This gives rise to the saying "what affects the eyes, affects the nose". Therefore, when one of these senses is affected, the result is a deformity.
That is to say, without any of these senses, one is disabled and therefore would need aid to be active or function well in the deformed area
Do You Think Certain Senses Are More Important Than Others? Why Or Why Not?
As I mentioned earlier, there isn't any organ that can be placed above another or the others vis-a-vis their importance. They are equally important as one will be called or seen as disabled by losing or having just one of these organs damaged. Moreso, these are interconnected and this is true because I noticed that I get the taste of my eye drops each time I apply it.
A person with palsy will be hampered from freely moving a part of the body or responding to stimuli hence facing limitations as movement is aided. The blind also will be deterred from having a sense of what his environment and everything around him looks like. This applies to other sense organs as well as their significance to us.
Just like the saying goes, "People do not know the value of what they have until they lose it". As people with our senses intact or without any deformation, we may not understand the excellence or importance of these sense organs. A person without sight is imbalanced just a deaf will have communication difficulties, hence all the sense organs are required to maintain the body's ecosystem.
If You Could Have An Extra Sense, What Would It Be And How Do You Think It Would Improve Your Life?
Seriously this question is tempting notwithstanding, I'd be straightforward. Sometimes we fall into trouble, sometimes we are caught unaware by circumstances that could be beyond our control, and sometimes we make decisions that instead of gaining we lose. Sometimes we take some actions, only for us to come later and begin to regret, this means that life is unpredictable as the future isn't known. Therefore, if @hisgeneral must have an extra sense organ besides the ones that God the creator has given us, I swear I will want a sense organ that will see the future.
Sincerely, this kinda organ would make life polychromatic. Extreme care will be taken to either impede or expedite what has been seen of the future, rather than embarking on a trip and getting involved in an accident (as seen of the future) we stay at home and avert it. This could also be necessary for modifying our lifestyle and making our ways flawless.
Knowing the future will plummet our sufferings because we won't have to do things wrongly or amiss rather we do things purposefully and calculationally. Our fate will be known to us, hence it will be needless to struggle.
How Do You Think Our Senses Influence Our Perception Of The World Around Us?
Motivations and apparitions are established by the eyes. Our world today has become an improved and decent place in proximity to the heroic or extraordinary deeds of architecture that have been advanced vis-a-vis inventiveness. Airplanes, ships, skyscrapers, and communication gadgets to mention but few are the results of creativity and things that are seen within the mind.
The sense organs of thought which too emanated from sight have produced best-selling technical notions. The ability to use imagination to produce is a thing of the mind via the perception of the problems that lie within our immediate environment.
Typically, creation is optimally maintained for the reason that we are aware of how to conserve it in the best possible way. It is impossible for the blind to make a copy of the necessities of nature and therefore cannot creatively delineate them for the profit of others. The sense of smell and taste is paramount to the food world for the culinarian.
The Bottom Line
The sense organs are vital characteristics of humans that us to function well, relate, and respond to our environment. In addition, when all the senses are at their optimal performance, coordination, and different activities are adequately carried out.
I wish to invite @nokas, @chilaw, and @preshdan to join.
I remain @hisgeneral saying thanks for reading!!
Our senses are like our first point of contact. They respond to stimulus even before we become conscious of our environment. Thank you for the mention
