Health facility is one of the facilities that the government of any country is obliged to provide to its people. The provision of these facilities is a measure of how well any government is serving its people.

🏥 What do you understand by free public health?

Free Public Health refers to health facilities provided to you without any payment. The poor section of the country should be provided health facilities by the government in such a hospital where free treatment can be provided to these people.

It is the responsibility of the government to create such facilities for those who cannot afford expensive treatment in big hospitals. Because the healthcare facilities in private hospitals, mepdicines and doctor's fees etc. are very high wich a common poor man can't afford.

Through this, people living in rural areas can also get their diseases treated without money. In this era of inflation, providing free healthcare facilities to the poor people in government and private hospitals is no less than a blessing for the poor people.

🏥Is health in your country a free, semi-free service or do you have to pay to acquire it?

In my country Pakistan both free and semi free services of health are provided to public. Health facilities are provided absolutely free in government hospitals as we don't have to pay for doctor's fees, medicines and operations etc.

Accident victims and poor people go to hospital and benefit from free facilities. But the instruments and facilities available and used in hospitals are not very modern.

Apart from this, in the previous regime, our former Prime Minister Imran Khan issued a health card to improve the health facilities of the people. Through which any common man can get his treatment free up to two million rupees. The issuance of this card is mainly implemented in private hospitals as it provides better healthcare facilities .

Through this card, we only have to pay the doctor's fee, apart from that, we do not have to pay anything for other medicines, operation ,surgeries and laboratory tests etc. By which we can easily get treatment of any disease with modern facilities for just a few bucks.

My sister fell sick few months ago, she had tonsil problem, my father took her to the nearest hospital where health card was used. There the staff told my father that you just have to pay the doctor's fee and because of that he had to pay the doctor's fee and the rest of the medicines and tests were done for free.

🏥Public hospitals in your country have the medical services and supplies necessary to care for patients?

The medical facilities in the government hospitals in our country are not very modern due to which some patients sometimes face difficulties. But due to the presence of qualified doctors in these hospitals, patients consider it safe to go there.

Most of the doctors are trained in major universities or abroad and work in these teaching hospitals. Our government buys modern and expensive machines from foreign countries for hospitals, but here, due to poor maintenance, lack of government supervision, the machines break down.

But since the implementation of health card in private hospitals, modern medical facilities are also being provided to the general public.

While the military hospitals under the supervision of the army such as CMH and Army Foundation Hospitals also provide such modern health facilities where not only the military officers and their families but also the general public are provided free facilities. The staff there is also highly trained to handle more patients easily even in a chaotic situation.
