How do you prioritize self-care in your daily routine?
For me, self-care is very important, not only to maintain appearance, but self-care is also very important to maintain physical fitness and mental health.
Sometimes what makes it difficult for all of us, including me, to do self-care is because we are busy with activities to earn a living.
However, I also take care of myself to always be well-groomed in between the busy activities that I do, to provide good and maximum self-care to myself, I usually always do light exercise in the morning for 30 minutes.
The exercise that I do can be jogging or just walking around my house, by doing light exercise like this makes my body muscles more relaxed and my mind fresh, that's the self-care routine that I am currently doing.
What activities help you relax and calm yourself down when you feel stressed?
Stress is also something that is very dangerous in my life, because in my opinion, with the arrival of stress, my productivity decreases because I lose focus on doing something.
To calm myself when I feel stressed, I usually look for someone to talk to, because when I chat my mind will be diverted to a pleasant conversation so that my stress will be reduced, when my mind feels relaxed again, then I can slowly solve the problems that have previously stressed me.
Why is self-care important for maintaining overall well-being?
Self-care is very important because by routinely taking care of ourselves, our bodies are always healthy so that we don't get sick easily. Good self-care can also help our brains avoid stress so that our lives can be more relaxed and happy.
How do you make sure you take time for yourself in the midst of your busy schedule?
One thing that makes me able to take time for myself when I'm busy is when prayer time has arrived, in Islam we have 5 prayer times a day.
When prayer time arrives, I always leave all my activities to be alone so that I can perform prayer, this is when my mind is refreshed because prayer is almost the same as a meditation method that can make us calm.
What self-care practices do you think are most beneficial for your mental health?
Based on my own experience, the most beneficial self-care practice for my mental health is to avoid overthinking thoughts, because overthinking thoughts are really very dangerous for my mental and physical health.
When overthinking thoughts have enveloped my mind excessively, it will also directly affect my mental and physical health. Therefore, I really do not allow my mind to think excessively about silly things that suddenly appear in my mind.
To avoid this overthinking mind, I always look for a chat friend to talk about positive things that can calm my mind.
