To me, it is normal for someone to cough which in the same way it is abnormal for someone to be coughing for more than one month. Any cough that lasts more than one month means it is no longer a normal cough and the person should see a doctor for treatment.

Abnormal cough is considered to be a chronic cough which is caused by the following:

• Asthma
• Postnasal drip
• Chronic bronchitis
• Infection
• Medication

Having said that above, if you are someone who has been coughing for more than one month you should visit your doctor for treatment.

The possibility of getting different health complexities of cough are untreatable after medications of one month it simply means the person is being faced with health issues which he or she needs to treat at immediate effect.

Also, if a cough persists for more than a month despite the treatment the person has received it can be an indication that the person's condition has not been fully addressed which means the person needs to see an expert for a proper medication.

• Have you ever suffered from a prolonged cough?

No, I haven't suffered from a prolonged cough before. I am lucky in that aspect of my life. One thing about me is that I used to take my health very seriously because I don't like taking drugs or feeling pain whenever I feel any symptoms in my body, I go to the hospital for a check so I can be treated immediately. Treatment myself immediately has helped me to avoid the complexities of illness after medications.
