Hello good evening everyone one, I believe we all had a wonderful day and all what it offers. I'm glad being here, I want to use this opportunity to participate on and interesting contest topic I came across titled, CREATING AWARENESS ON HEMORRHOIDS organized and published by @mesola here in healthy steem community.

In some cases hemorrhoids cause only mild symptoms that can be treated at home. In more severe cases it can lead to persistent pain, bleeding and other complications. A lot of people are suffering from this illness, so as it is healthy related I see it an important topic to address. Before I continue I'll love to pause and invite @sahmie, @subooohi and @preshy001 to participate in this interesting contest.
With this I continue...

What do you understand by the word hermorrhoids

Hemorrhoid at first sound strange to me, but when I made research I came to know that its disease that commonly happens to almost everyone. A Hemorrhoid is said to be a swollen vein in the lower rectum or anus. This illness can be very painful, itchy and even sometimes they can make some bleed😢.

Mention the main causes of hemorrhoids?

There are a some main causes of hemorrhoids as confirmed through health observation. Let's start, firstly in most cases it is chronic constipation which can lead to straining during bowel movements(waste products) and putting pressure on the veins in the anus and lower rectum.

Another common cause is pregnancy, which can cause swelling and pressure in the area due to the weight of the baby. Obesity, heavy lifting and sitting for long periods of time do contribute to the development of hemorrhoids. Some rare causes of hemorrhoids can be certain medical conditions that cause increased pressure in the abdomen.

can Hemorrhoids be treated? Mention the ways and methods of treatment

Yes it can be treated, there are many ways of treatments available for hemorrhoids, depending on the severity of the condition. Mild hemorrhoids can often be treated with lifestyle changes like, increasing fiber intake and drinking more water.

Over the counter treatments, such as creams and suppositories. This can help reduce pain and swelling. In more cases a doctor may recommend rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy and surgery.

Rubber band ligation involves tying off the hemorrhoid with a rubber band, which cuts off its blood supply and eventually causes it to shrink.

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution into the hemorrhoid to cause scarring.

Surgery is also an option for some cases of hemorrhoids. Surgery may involve stapling the hemorrhoid into place, cutting it out, or removing it with a laser.

What do hemorrhoids look like

The appearance of hemorrhoids can vary depending on the hemorrhoid condition. A mild hemorrhoids may appear as small bumps around the anus. while more severe hemorrhoids appears as large swollen lumps. In some cases hemorrhoids may also protrude, or stick out from the anus. The skin around the anus may also be red and irritated. If there is bleeding from the hemorrhoids, the stool may appear bright red or have blood clots in it.

Does anyone in your family has this disease, if yes share your experiences.

None of my family member has ever complain of of hemorrhoids, but from my research I got to know that there are two types of hemorrhoids which are Internal and external hemorrhoids. Where internal hemorrhoids are typically painless and external hemorrhoids are often itchy and can be painful.

So, it means one can have some element of this illness without getting notice.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while looking for the possible way of getting healed from hemorrhoids, it's important to follow up with a doctor to ensure the hemorrhoids are healing properly. Also lifestyle changes such as eating a high-fiber diet and exercising regularly can help prevent hemorrhoids from recurring.
