Steemit Engagement Challenge (SEC)| SEC-S13 / W6 | "🗣️ Me and My Senses 🧿"

As humans, we have five basic Senses. The sense of Sight made possible by our eyes, the sense of smell we get from the olfactory organs in the nose. We are also able to taste with our tongue, our ear takes care of the hearing while the skin helps us feel with touch.
Because this sense organs were taught in our elementary schools it was easy to pick up the five basic Senses that were easy to explain as they allow us to perceive and understand the world around us. Each of the five basic senses are associated with a specific organ or body part.

My eyes makes it possible for me to see, that is what I am using now to type as I make this post. And you are using it to read. I really value my eyes as my ability to see is highly cherished.
The ability to hear is another sense that I greatly value, a lot of everyday information are in audio format, the honk from a speeding car, a coworker shouting as an object falls from the roof, we need our ears for these. I also love listening to music.
I will hate to eat bad food simply because I could not perceive the pungent smell, or can't enjoy the good food because I can't savour it's alluring aroma or taste the richness of the Nigerian cuisine with it's spicy food while appreciating the breezy evening hours.

If it's possible to avoid choosing so that I can have all the basic five for myself, I will so much love it. Just to be clear, I think all senses are equally important in their different ways. I will select the eye. I learn and understand better when I have visual information. And it seems my eyes provide the largest amount of input I get about my surroundings.

When considering the basic five, they are all very important and I will not on a normal day take one above the other. But if other senses like the sense of balance which is said to be in the ear. I think this one is not that important but that is not all. the sense of pain, temperature, pressure and touch are four separate senses all felt by the skin but they are not the same. There is also the sense of interoception, which gives us information about our internal organs and bodily functions, like telling us when we are pressed or hungry.
The sense of proprioception creates a map of our body in it's environment. if it itches at any part of your body, this organ will help your fingers get to that place without missing the spot. In Nigeria we know that if you are eating and there is a blackout, you can't for any reasons, miss your mouth if you miss the plate.

I would love to directly interface with technology like the internet without the need of devices like a phone or modem. Such that I can run a search by simply thinking about it and come up with the result. All the information I need will be at my fingertips.

I would upload my consciousness on some online repository and make some failsafe and backups. Download a better version into a better body each time there is a need for that.

The way food is presented, it's colour, texture, flavour and aroma affects our overall perception and experience. Our senses influence the way we feel and think about a person or a situation. The way a person looks, smell and sounds often has a lot of effects on the way we interact with such a person. It could create an attraction or repulsion. This occurs even if we are not consciously aware of it. We may just love the person who is dressed well and smells nice. And that is why food sold in an environment that smells badly and looks dirty will be less appealing. This are all prompted by our scenes.
