Good day all, it's a pleasure to be here again and participate in this wonderful contest. Just as we know there are lots of myths and controversies surrounding colour Blindness, sometimes people can't help than to stigmatize those that have it, today on this contest I am going to clear the air about this.

Colour Blindness otherwise known as vision deficiency is a common condition whereby one don't see colors the normal way or as they are. This usually happens when a nerve cell in our eye retina are not working correctly. Comes ( a type of nerve cell in our retina) process light and images as they enter our eyes and send signal to our brain and allow us perceive color.

There are lots of things to say about color blindness but for the sake of the contest, I will be sharing just these four;

• Color Blindness is of two types; Blue-yellow and Red-Green color blindness.

• All Babies are born color blind

• There is no treatment for color blindness

• Most cases of color blindness it symptoms are always very mild.

There are several causes of color blindness but let's just see three as required by the contest rules;

• Eye injuries caused by layers

• Genetics (hereditary)

• Brain tumor that affects the optic nerve

Color blindness can never cause total blindness of the eye, it is just a myth that surrounds this unfortunate condition. The most severe form of color blindness is achromatopsia which is a very rare condition where someone cannot see any color but just shades of gray but victim can still see clearlu but won't be able to differentiate a single color.

In addition, blindness can only be caused by accident, age related eye disease such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataract and glaucoma, all these has nothing to do with color blindness.
