INTRODUCTION
Hello my fellow steemians, it good to be home in healthy community, I really love this community because on how they decuss about health issues. I participate in the last contest and here am I to participate in this present one.
TELL ME A LITTLE, WITHOUT TECHNICAL WORDS: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT LEPROSY?
In my understanding leprosy is just a long term infection cause by so many types of bacteria name mycobacterium leprae. This disease mostly affect they human and our nerves. If it is not treated immediately, that disease may become worst and it can cause permanent disability in our body. It can affect our legs, hand and so many part of our body.
DOES LEPROSY HAVE A CURE?
For me I believe, in every problem we face there is a solution to that problem. I say leprosy is a curable disease. They last I checked, they approve treatment consit of three different drugs which are clofazimine, dapsone and rifampicin. With this drugs it can cure they disease permanently. They mixture of those drugs is always called multi drug therapy, in short cut it is (MDT).
They time given for they disease treatment is 6 months, this is only for PB, while for MB is 12months.
I also say till now they disease called leprosy still exist till now, when I research the world health organization (WHO), tells me that they sum total of people around they world that are affected by leprosy is 208,000. That is not the complete number but it is just approximately that.
This kind of disease are mostly found in Nigeria and Asia. When I research again I found that in they united state over 100 people had leprosy.
NAME A HISTORICAL EVENT AND REFLECT ON AN ACTION OF DISCRIMINATION
Firstly I will define the meaning of discrimination. They word discrimination means treating a group of people different from the other group.
People who are infected by leprosy, some people treat them different from thy people who doesn't have they disease. Doing that is not fear at all, some people do that because there are scared to get closer to those people who are contacted with the disease.
I want to say treating those people who have they disease badly is very bad because if they one doing that was contacted by they disease and someone treat them that same where, he or she won't be happy.
So please people reading my post, if you are a victim of treating some one badly change because you don't know tomorrow.
Thank you for reaching out my post I really appreciate, I want to use this time to invite @tripple-e @ekemini01 @mesola to participate in this contest.

@newekemini5
It is true that every problem has a solution. And that applies to the problem of leprosy. The same leprosy people in the past thought it was a curse. 🤣🤣🤣
Also , stigmatization and discrimination of people with this infection is not the right thing to do.
You've written well dear.

Hola querido
Tienes razón, pero también leí que muchas personas tardan hasta 3 o 4 años en curarse. Lastimosamente estamos en la epoca donde tenemos la cura pero es dificil llevar esta enfermedad.
saludos
gracias por participar!
