Respected birth, in hospital or at home?

The risk involved in this type of birth is enormous, at first you may be very unlucky not to find someone who can midwife at the moment of delivery, understanding the rudiments of childbirth. The difference between modern-day child delivery and the olden days is the recognition of the child/mother's problems during delivery and solving them. A medical doctor once said that if he had become a medical doctor his mummy's goat wouldn't have died, his reason was because of the ability to conceive the last baby in her womb. I think after he had come to study medicine and realised the cause of his inability to give birth he felt for his mother's goat dying out of ignorance.

👩‍⚕️ What are some common risks associated with home births?

Infections which is as a result of contamination with bacteria around, lack of anaesthetic options which could curtail pain encountered, bleeding complications may be difficult to handle, for first-time mothers the risk is high in cases where the vagina is too small whose factor could be the baby's size, a rare condition of the vagina been abnormally small(teenage pregnancy causes this), the tools needed for caesarean section(CS) may not be available for operation.

👩‍⚕️ Strategies employed during an emergency home birth?

Giving birth at home is not bad because the time of pregnancy might not be exactly the time the woman took in, that is after counting in 9 months, but the bad thing here is improper management. Let home birth proceed but let the birth completion be in the hospital, to manage cases like this properly, a midwifery should be employed, one with a reasonable year of experience and also medical supplies should be made readily available, and be a little bit educated on a child's birth. This same method could be employed to prepare for childbirth at home.

👩‍⚕️ Do you think there is only one solution for hospital birth to mitigate these risks?

There are many solutions, every problem has multiple ways of solving them, Midwifery is a professional course and people should be trained and certified in this aspect, the birth centre should be established in the town and midwives should be affiliated with hospitals, and cases of emergencies, they should be able to rush down to the hospitals for help.
