Hi guys good to have you all here today, how are you all doing today I hope you are all in good health as for me I'm perfectly fine, today I will be taking part in a contest organize by @sahmie with the theme "Lending Our Helping Hands"
What Do You Understand By "People Living With Disabilities?"
According to my own personal knowledge, people living with disabilities are those set of people who are handicapped and are physically challenged in a sense that some of the essential part of their body are missing or not functioning properly example of this set of people are cripple, deaf and dump, blind person etc.
How Can We Make It Easier For People With Disabilities To Access Things In Our Community?
How we can contribute in making life easier for people with disabilities to access things in our community are not far fetch most especially the cripple, we all know that a cripple can only move from one place to another on a wheel chair 💺
And in other to make them have easy access to things in our community are, when building a house we should endeavor to create a plain sloppy surface close to the stairs so that they can easily roll through with their wheelchair
Give Ways We Can Include And Give Equal Opportunities To People With Disabilities?
Some of the various ways we can include and give equal opportunities to people with disabilities are;
As mentioned earlier building a sloppy plain floor in place of stairs for easy access with wheelchair
Setting up and establishing school for disabilities with train teachers to guide them
The government should also endeavor to issue our an empowerment scheme meant to support those with disabilities
How Can We Help People With Disabilities Without Invading Their Privacy Or Making Assumptions?
Though it depends solely on the nature of the physically challenged person we are dealing with, because when it comes to a blind person when dealing with them there must be a direct contact.
Unlike when dealing with other physically challenged people such as cripple, deaf and dumb etc, for the cripple as mentioned earlier we can easily set up easy part ways that would grant them easy access to various things and facilities in our community.
Same is also applicable with when dealing with a deaf and dumb we can easily use signs to communicate thus understanding them better at the same time attaining to their needs.
How Can We Be Supportive Friends And Allies To People With Disabilities And Their Families?
Some of the various ways we can become supportive friends and Allies to people with disabilities are;
- By rendering physical support to them
- Understanding their needs and attending to them patiently
- By rendering financial support to them
- By dedicating some of our time to them
This will be the end of my entry and I will like to invite
