Hello healthy steemians how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be taking part in a contest organize by @sahmie which has the theme "The dangers of drugs abuse"

Explain In Your Understanding What "Drug Abuse" Is All About And Mention Some Commonly Abused Drugs In Our Environment.

According to my own personal understanding drug abuse can simply be defined as the excessive or illegal use of drugs with receiving an authorize prescription from a physician or doctor.

Drug abuse is very common in our community this days as people ignorantly like engaging themselves in abusing and taking in of harmful drugs illegally and as a result of that later you will see them behaving like wild dogs on the street.

According to my own view the abuse of drugs is mostly common in an undeveloped area that has a high level of poverty rate, and some of the drugs that are most likely to be abuse are;

• Weed (ikong ekpo)
• Marijuana
• Alcohol
• Heroin

What Are Some Common Dangers Of Drug Abuse That We Should Address.

Since this drug abusers take this drugs for fun and selfish purposes disregarding the consequences as well as the dangers involved which we are going to address here.

Some of the common dangers of drug abuse are;

• Drug abuse may lead to a serious health problem
• Drug abuse may cause social problems in a way that the victim may behave carlosly with the people around them thereby promoting hatred
• Drug abuse may lead to vehicle accidents especially does who like to drink and drive

How Can We Promote Awareness And Prevention Of Drug Abuse In Our Communities?

Some of the various ways of promoting public awareness and preventing drug abuse in our community are;_

• By organizing a drug awareness event which will help enlighten the general public about the dangers involved in drugs abuse
• By sharing our knowledge about the dangers of drug abuse with the people around us
• By making use of the mass media to educate the public on the dangers of drug abuse

What Are Some Effective Ways To Support Individuals Who Are Struggling With Drug Addiction?

Some of the most effective ways of supporting individuals who are struggling with drugs addiction are;

• By contacting or reaching out to a professional to speak to them through counseling in other to abstain from such ways.
• Some people chooses to be addicted to drugs due to anxiety so at this point it is our sole responsibility to try and comfort them by spending more time with them in other to help them go through difficult times
• By rendering a one on one conversational therapy to the addicted victim

How Can We Educate Young People About The Dangers Of Drug Abuse In A Relatable And Engaging Way?

Some of the various relatable ways of educating our young ones about the dangers of drug abuse are;

• Through education, in schools the teachers should carefully point out the dangers of drug abuse to the students in other to make them abstain from it
• Parents should endeavor to teach their children good morals in other to stay away from such an unpleasing addiction
• By showing them concrete prove of how the effects of drug abuse looks like to impact fear in them as a result stay away from it

Drug abuse is very dangerous addiction which the government should draft a law that is specifically meant to punish the abusers in other to make them abstain from such dirty habits.
