Nurturing a healthy hair requires the routine combination of proper hair essential nutrients, care, pampering and consistency just as one would maintain a balance diet to obtain good health, hair also needs those diets to stay luscious, shiny, good growth and strength.

It should be noted that the health of hair can be influenced by certain factors such as your genes, lifestyle, nutrition and environmental disposition. Having this knowledge in mind would prompt one who intends to get good hair health to adopt the neccessary hair health practices. Just as we want other parts of our body to look healthy, hair shouldn't be left out.

Let me quickly share with you the routines of my hair health: as in how and when I take care of my hair health.

## Regular Washing with Shampoo

I wash, cleanse my hair regularly in two to three weeks with shampoo or it equivalent to
remove dirts, oil, and build up of toxin from the scalp. When the scalp is healthy, it will promote hair growth and strength
.

## Moisturising:

I use home made prepared natural moisturising oil such as coconut oil, Shea butter, castor oil to apply on my hair. As my hair is natural non-relaxed hair, I use these natural oil containing the essential nutrients with a leave-in conditioner to make it silky, smooth, shiny for easy combing and weave-in.

## Regular Conditioning:

  • As one using virgin coarse hair African hair, I apply leave-in mega growth conditioner preventing it from tangling and enhance softness*.

## Having nutrition:

I try to eat nutritional food containing protein, essential vitamins such as Vit A, B1, B2, B3, E, C, C, D and E and other minerals like Zinc including green veggies All these phyto nutrients help in hair strengthening and growth

## Minimising the Use of excessive Heat

I limit the use of heat or I don't use heat or any chemicals on my hair at all. This has help me strengthen my hair for three years now on virgin hair. While I was using relaxed hair, the chemicals in relaxer and other treatments were very unfriendly to my hair. I experienced front hair breakage discolouration and hair falling. I then determined to barb the perm hair andd resorted to using my natural hair which I'm today happy with.

I take proper care of my scalp
When you have a clean and fresh scalp, you would have proper hair growth and no dandruff. I take time in gently scrubbing my scalp to remove dirts and other toxin builds up in the scalp
.

## Adequate Hydration

Every routine practices to maintain good health requires one to drink lots of water. Water they say is life, I drink enough water to get me hydrated this preventing dryness.

## Avoiding Sun exposure

I don't expose my hair to the sun, I always go out with an umbrella or cover my hair with a cap. The UV rays from the sun does much damage to hair and skin. I limit exposing my hair to such dangerous environmental hazards.

Keeping to these routines successively
help me to maintaimy virgin or natural hair for years now having good growth, softness, strength, luscious and healthy
