Orthodontics is the Branch of Dentistry which emphasizes on correcting Teeth and Jaws that are not aligned properly. Lots of people are born with Teeth that are not aligned properly and this Teeth issues includes faults like Too much gap between the Teeth, Overbites, crossbites and underbites and this usually causes lots of Insecurities amongst people. Orthodontics is necessary to position this Teeth properly.

No, I haven't had Braces before and my teeth are perfectly aligned so I won't be needing them.

The components of Orthodontics Appliances includes the following,
Wires
These are Metal wire used to attach the brackets and then apply pressure to the teeth.Bands
It is fitted around the Molars inorder to provide extra support.Brackets
They're little Ceramic squares that are attached to each tooth. They help to provide support for the wires.Elastics
It is used to provide extra pressure on the teeth.Retainers
These are remover appliances which helps to keep the teeth in place/position after the Orthodontics.

Orthodontics includes the following steps.
Consultation and examination

This involves visiting an Orthodontist who will examine the teeth in order to know what is the best treatment for the Patient.Placing the Appliances
After the examination and the Orthodontist finds out that you needs appliances, then, he would place the Wires, and other Appliances on your teeth.Regular check ups
You will visit the Orthodontist often for adjustment of the Appliances.Removals
Once the Patient teeth is properly positioned, the Orthodontist will remove the Braces.Retention
The Patient will wear retainer inorder to keep the teeth in the new Position.
