I hope this post finds you all friends in a good health and good spirits. I am thankful to Allah Almighty for all the blessings in my life , Alhamdulillah ! How about you all friends ? I am pretty sure that you are all also be thankful to Allah Almighty for all the blessings. I am excited to participate in the contest being held by our honourable @khursheedanwar sir. This week contest is about stress eating. So , I am here to share my knowledge on this topic. I hope my this post is informative for you. So , lets start the post.

What is stress eating? |

- Eating in a way to reduce or soothe negative emotions like anger , fear , boredom , sadness and loneliness is called stress eating. Many people turned to food when they are depressed , sad or anxious. Little daily stresses can cause people to seek comfort in food. Bodies store more fat when the people are stressed than when they are relaxed.
It is often an unconscious behaviour , where someone turns to food to distract themselves from their emotional discomfort. Well , In my personal experience , I don't think so eating too much is an easy way to relieve stress.😂 I am sure that you also agree with that point.
Negative effects of stress eating? |

- There are many negative effects of stress eating. During this discomfort condition , the body releases cortisol , a hormone that helps the body to protect itself. However , if it is raised for prolonged time like constant stress. It can lead to increased food consumption , fat storage and weight gain. The people who eat for emotional reasons often gain weight. It causes obesity.
It can cause the greater risk of type 2 diabetes , heart diseases and high blood pressure and cancer. It cause overeating which is the main cause of vomiting. Overeating has emotional consequences as well like feeling guilty and embarrassment. It can cause poor nutrient intake. Low self-esteem can caused by stress eating. It may also cause energy crashes and poor sleep.

- When , I am extremely depressed like , I am faced with a problem which is beyond my control or I am preoccupied with something serious. I do not feel hungry at all. I lose my appetite. But in some conditions , I feel the need of stress eating which is not good for me.
When I feel stress eating I eat fry food. I eat fries , chicken and vegetable rolls which is not healthy for me. It can cause vomiting. It can also cause blotting and constipation. In my opinion stress eating is not good for our health. So , we have to avoid stress eating.
