I am Dr.Zeeshan Manzoor with username @shano49 from Pakistan.Today I am going to demonstrate such lethal health problem which is going to be common all over the world with the passage of time the disease is known as AIDS .

AIDS stands for Aquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
Now I will told you some history than I will proceed further
The first case of AIDS was reported in 1980's in young males specifically these all were those who involved in homosexuality. But after a few years this disease was seen in non homosexuals this was quit surprising.Now people begin to know that that this disease can happen from other sources.

In 1984 the infectious agent was identified by pasteur institute in France and National institute of health in USA .In 1986 the agent was name as Human immunodeficiency virus.

What do you know about AIDS causes?

AIDS is caused by virus known as HIV (human immunodeficiency Syndrome).
We are saying this syndrome because it weaker our immune system and as a result body is exposed to multiple infections. This is likely to be combination of many diseases.
When a person is Aids positive following are the symptoms

• Severe penumonia
• vascular cancer
• sudden weight loss
• swollen lymph nodes
• loss of immune function
  When HIV enters in the body it started to multiply. It attacks on helper T lymphocytes as a result immune system is compromised.Now the question arises here how this virus is transferred to others and they got infected.
  The answer is this virus does not spread with food, hand shaking and hugging. Instead it spread through unsafe sexual contact, for example if a person has sexual contact it is AIDS positive than this virus is transmitted to that person. In this way its transmission happens.
  It also spreads through the following;
• breast feeding
• blood and blood products.

  This disease is known as sexually transmitted disease as it mostly spread through sexual contact.

What is the treatment of AIDS

• Zidovudine was the first drug which was introduced in 1987 against the HIV.
• Multi drug rehman is commonly referred as highly active against anti- retroviral therapy (HARRT).That is used against type-1.
  Here are most common classes of drugs that are used against treatment.
• Nucleoside and nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors
• Non- nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors
• protease inhibitors
• entry inhibitors
• integrase inhibitors

Current Recommendations

The current recommendations for primary therapy is to administer the two Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors with either a protese inhibitors or non- nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors.

Vaccines are also available which are administer before the onset of disease. Vaccines were develop in 2001.

What do you know about itAIDS preventive measures?

• The most important preventive measure is that we should avoid the direct contact with HIV positive.
• We should perform the HIV test before blood transfusion
• We should avoid intimate sexual contact
• We should not use common syringes for injections, we should always use sterile strings
• Health care workers should take care of them while attending such patients
• We should not be shy to told our problem because people have a myth that this is only related to sexual contact.We should be confident to told our real issues to doctor.
• We always use new blades for shaving instead of common.

Conclusion

I would conclude my thoughts with that aids is curable. We should not disrespect to people who are suffering from AIDS. We should encourage them in order to fight against disease. Many people are unaware from preventive measures and causes of this disease.
