I'm @shawlin , from #Bangladesh

Salutations, sweet Steemains.

I pray that everyone is doing well by the grace of Allah Ta'ala. I'm doing well too. Praise be to Allah! The well-respected @khursheedanwar is hosting a contest, which is why I'm here. The contest is titled "Paralysis". The community allows me to impart my expertise on this significant subject to you, and for that, I am very thankful.. At the same time, I can gather new information through the posts made by others.

What is paralysis?

Paralysis is the loss of muscle movement in certain parts of the body.. It occurs when there is an interference with the signals that travel from your brain to your muscles. Partial or total paralysis is possible. Paralysis is the inability to move your body voluntarily when anything interferes with the nerve signals that go to your muscles. Strokes, spinal cord injuries, and neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis are common causes of paralysis. Temporary facial paralysis is a symptom of Bell's palsy. A small portion of the body, such as the face, hands, or feet, might have localized paralysis.

Write about its types?

A wider range of body components are affected by generalized paralysis. Among the paralysis types are:

  • Monoplegia: Any one side, like one arm or leg, is impacted by this.

  • Hemiplegia: On the same side of the body, one arm and one leg are affected.

  • Paraplegia: This condition, also known as lower body paralysis, typically affects the hips and lower abdominal organs in addition to both legs.

  • Quadriplegia: Arms and legs are affected, as well as occasionally the trunk muscles, internal organ function, or both.

How long it takes to recover from paralysis?

However since they might not fully recover from the attack, some patients might need lifelong care. Permanent paralysis has no known treatment. Spinal cord injury is not self-healing. The recovery period will differ from person to person due to the unique nature of each spinal cord injury and subsequent recuperation. Because the spinal cord undergoes a heightened state of neuroplasticity during the first six months following a spinal cord injury, it has been proposed that the most physical recovery takes place during that time.

I want to invite @arinaz08, @lamia30, and @yokondap to participate in this contest.

Thanks for being with me and reading my post patiently .

Best Regards
@shawlin
