Assalamu Alaikum.
Hello everyone,
I am @sojib1996
From #Bangladesh
How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Today I will be taking part in a beautiful contest of the Healthy Steem community. This contest name is "Kidney Diseases"..
Thank you so much Sir @afzalqamar for organizing such a beautiful event.
Many people in our country are suffering from this kidney disease. Statistics show that almost one person dies every 5 minutes due to this disease.
What do you know about kidney disease? |
---|
Kidney disease is a disease that destroys the normal functioning of our kidneys. Apart from kidney stones, there are many other diseases that damage the kidneys.
It removes excess waste products, salt, and blood pressure from our bodies and works to produce hormones.
The kidneys are the filters of our human body, our body's waste and excess fluids are filtered through these kidneys. However, this disease can be divided into 2 types
- Acute kidney injury
- Chronic kidney disease
Suddenly attacking the kidneys is called acute kidney injury and gradually losing its function over a long time is called chronic kidney disease.
These are otherwise called medical and surgical. Both can be cured with proper treatment.
Have you or someone you know ever experienced kidney-related issues? |
---|
Yes, many of my close relatives have faced this kidney disease. My mother had kidney disease. She has suffered from this disease for more than 15 years, my grandmother, grandfather, uncle, aunt, cousin, sister and even my elder 2 sisters have this disease.
I have seen the pain of this disease in my mother. There was no relief in any way, the pain did not decrease even if I sat, stood or lay down. I had a kidney test a few days ago, Alhamdulillah I am fine. The treatment of this disease is very expensive and for severe pain, the pain could be reduced somewhat by giving injections.
My aunt had kidney stones and her stones were removed a few days ago through an operation and my elder sister is taking medicine to reduce her stones.
Also, another cousin of mine had to undergo dialysis due to the failure of both kidneys. It was very expensive and painful, and he died a few days later.
How can we prevent and manage kidney disease? |
---|
Some important healthy habits should be followed to prevent and manage kidney disease. They are given below.
Ways to prevent
Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day, it keeps the kidneys healthy and removes harmful toxins from the body.
You should especially avoid holding your urine and stool. This has a significant impact on the kidneys.
Kidney disease is caused by excess weight, diabetes, and high blood pressure, so you should take care of that.
Exercise every day because exercise helps to maintain kidney function.
Eat the right food such as less salt, and sugar, and eat green vegetables, foods containing fiber, fruits, and protein.
Management.
People suffering from kidney disease should avoid eating the fruit called carambola. Eating it completely destroys the kidneys.
Get blood and urine tests done every few days to know the status of your kidneys.
Eat less salt and eat more protein and vegetables as per your doctor's advice.
Avoid painkillers
Stay away from smoking and alcohol.
I would like to invite my friends @annydee01 @lamia30 and @shahid76 to take part in the contest.
