Hello and Namste my steemian Family,

This is my participation in the contest” Let's talk about self-medication – Contest orgnised by My friend
@helengutier2

🧑🏻⚕️1. How often do you research about any of your symptoms on the internet.

It is true that the internet and search engines have made it a means for people to eliminate the need for doctors, most of us now search for medicines for any disease by entering our symptoms on the internet and start self-diagnosing.

Whereas this is very wrong, that is why I never research or search on the internet for the treatment of any disease.

🧑🏻⚕️ 2. Do you believe that the information you get on the internet is real or you should confirm it by consulting a doctor.

Because different types of medicines are used in hundreds of diseases, and only after doing a complete examination of your body, knowing your history, your age, body weight, whether you are allergic to medicines or not, a doctor advises you to take a medicine, and gives the knowledge of its actual dosage requirement.

That is why we should always treat any disease only after taking advice from a trained doctor full of new information. Otherwise it can also have opposite results, under dose, over dose, or mismatch diagnosis has adverse effects on your body, and its results are sometimes seen very late.

🧑🏻⚕️ 3. I know that the health system is a bit lacking in many of our countries but you are used to self-medicating or whenever you feel any symptom you go to the emergency room in your country.

In my country, the medical and health system is quite developed, but as far as I am concerned, I self-medicate only for simple illnesses like headache, body ache, cold, flu, allergy, mild fever etc. But whenever the illness seems serious or I feel that self-treatment is wrong, I do not take any medicine without consulting a doctor.

And delaying in doing so is like cheating your body. Because if you use medicines without the advice of a trained doctor, it can cost you dearly.

🧑🏻⚕️ 4. Do you self-medicate because you think it is something simple or are you afraid of going to a doctor and finding out that you have something more serious?

As I have written above, I self-medicate for some common and minor diseases, and no one should be afraid that going to a doctor may lead to the diagnosis of a serious disease, because if you do not consult a doctor on time, it is possible that your common disease may turn into a serious disease.

And then a lot of time and money is spent in the treatment of that serious disease. That is why whenever I feel that it is not appropriate to treat any of my diseases on my own, I immediately get myself and other members of my family treated only after the supervision and consultation of a skilled, trained doctor.

And I am not at all afraid that I may be diagnosed with a serious disease, because nowadays skilled doctors have the treatment for every disease.

Hello friend,
You have written correctly. We middle-income people sometimes treat our minor ailments ourselves due to lack of money and sometimes due to laziness. This is a common thing.
Thank you very much for visiting my post.
A big hug from my side too.
