In my understanding, Communicable diseases are manly spread through direct contact with the infected person, the include touching, kissing and sexual intercourse.

Meanwhile, Indirect contact, like touching contaminated surfaces or even objects, can also transmit the diseases. Airborne transmission happens when infectious agents are carried though dust nuclei which are suspended in the air.

Also Food and water can be contaminated sources, with vectors like mosquitoes.
Diseases also can spread through the fecal-oral route, sometimes due to poor sanitation and hygiene practices.

How can good hygiene practices help prevent the spread of communicable diseases?

I will say Good hygiene practices are important for preventing the spread of communicable diseases. Unstoppable handwashing with soap and water, most importantly after using the restroom, before taking your breakfast, lunch or dinner, wash your hands very well…

secondly after coughing or sneezing, you can remove germs from the hands by using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol that is also effective when soap and water are not available at the moment.

Covering the mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when coughing or when sneezing helps prevent the spread of respiratory pathogens.

Why is it important for individuals to seek medical help if they suspect they have a communicable disease?

Going for medical help when suspecting a communicable disease is important for some reasons. The Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent the disease from getting worse and reduce the risk of transmission to another.

Good medical intervention can also help reduce complications and improve total health outcomes. Meanwhile, healthcare professionals can improve good guidance on isolation, hygiene practices, and even the use of medications or even vaccines, which are important for controlling the spread of communicable diseases.

Can you think of examples of communicable diseases and how they have impacted communities?

The Example of communicable diseases and their impacts on the communities include influenza, which can cause widespread illness and death, most importantly in vulnerable populations.

In The 1918 influenza pandemic lead to millions of deaths globally and led to significant social and economic disruptions. HIV/AIDS a devastating impact, causing millions of deaths and necessitating the development of antiretroviral therapies and prevention strategies.

I will say Tuberculosis, is a highly infectious disease, continues to affect communities worldwide, requiring coordinated efforts for diagnosis, treatment, and infection control. These diseases shows the importance of public health measures, vaccination, and access to medical care in protecting community health.

How do public health measures like vaccinations and quarantine help control the spread of communicable diseases?

I will say Public health measures like vaccinations and quarantine are important for handling the spread of communicable diseases. Meanwhile Vaccinations gather the immune system to produce antibodies against specific pathogens, providing immunity and preventing infection.

Quarantine also separates individuals who may have been exposed to this contagious disease from those who have not, which is reduce the risk of transmission. Working together, these measures create herd immunity and also control the movement of potentially infectious individuals.

They are some components of public health strategies seen at controlling and eventually distroying diseases, sometimes used in combination with testing, contact tracing, and social distancing to activity manage and mitigate the impact of diseases on communities.
