Stress Eating is also knowns as Emotional Eating which means due to stress, human develop the pattern of eating where people use food to help them deal with stressful situations. Nowadays everyone's life is stressful, so I have seen that people who are more stressful have more habits of eating sugar items like chocolate bars, candy etc.

Negative effects of Stress Eating..

Stress eating can cause mentally and physically effects on person life. In stress eating either person eats too much or loss the appetite. During the stressful situations body release the cortisol(helps the body to protect itself) but once over cortisol release then over consumption of food become the human habit, which may have server effect. Eating too much can cause obesity, there are numerous effect of obesity like Increase the risk of heart attack, diabetes, raise your blood glucose, cholesterol Etc.

In case of Loss of appetite, when you don't feel hungry or doesn't want to eat anything. It can cause malnutrition and loss of weight. It can be serious if left untreated. Loss of appetite can have many serious effects like kidney failure, chronic liver disease, hypertension, gastric problem, digestive problem etc.

Everyone must have had the experience of stress eating at some point in their life. I also did stress eating but for a short period like when I used to go for exams, I used to have a strange feeling in my stomach and does feel like eating anything.Even today it happens with me that whenever I am under a lot of stress or some important task is about to happen in my life, I feel stress, doesn't feel like eating anything.

the best way to save yourself from stress eating is to divert your mind, do whatever you like, like surfing the internet, watching movies, go for walk, listen to music, do some excercise etc.
