Hello Steemians and happy new month from this side!

As we go about our daily activities trying to make ends meet, we get stressed out at certain points. When this happens, we all have different ways of managing such situations.

While I share my idea on the concept, stress, I also look forward to reading from you.

STRESS

Stress is the body's way of reacting and responding to tension or pressure. It is a common feeling we get when we are overwhelmed and can't cope with certain demands or situations.

Just like in physics where stress leads to deformation or strain, with humans, it also leads to some level of emotional, physical or psychological strain.

Stress can be caused by a number of different factors such as; work, parenting, pressure, big changes in life, overwhelming responsibilities, abuse or discrimination, unnecessary worry, lack of control over certain situations and generally, our day-to-day inconveniences.

How often do you get stress and what are the ways you deal with stress?

We all experience stress to some certain degree and the way respond or manage such situations makes the difference in our total well-being.

As a student combining different busy school activities, I get stressed on a daily basis asides the few days I decided to take a personal break from it all.

To cope with this daily level of stress, I practice certain activities daily; exercise, good diet, laugh with friends and good rest and sleep.

Exercise: exercise, like we all know is very good for the body and it also happens to be a very good way of managing daily stress. Exercising increases blood circulation, flushes out stress hormones, improves your mode and thereby, improving your day.

Good diet: it's no news that good diet is equivalent to good living. Starting my day with a good breakfast which contains fruits and vegetables goes a long way in helping me cope with stress better.

Laugh with friends: interacting and laughing with friends releases certain hormones which makes you feel lighter and better.
Knowing this, I try to take an interactive and open behavior each day.

Good rest and sleep: for the body to be able to fight and tolerate stress, it needs adequate rest or sleep. A person who lacks enough sleep, especially at night is already on the part of having a really stressed day.
Therefore, I always make sure to get enough sleep at night, preferable, seven to eight hours sleep, in order to function properly during the day.

Though stress might prove inevitable but it is definitely manageable. How to cope or deal with stress matters a lot as we might pick up unhealthy habits which in turn, impacts our health and wellbeing negatively.

Here on steemit, is blogging stressful for you, how do you handle steemit and other activities?

I wouldn't call blogging here on steemit stressful, as it's an activity I actually enjoy doing a lot. This doesn't cancel out the fact that it might be a little stressing some days especially on the days when I'm already tired and tensed from my daily activities.

Blogging on steemit has since become part of my daily activity so in order to combine and manage it properly with other activities to avoid unnecessary lapses anywhere, I created a kind of plan or timetable per say.

This plan allows me spend a particular amount of time here on the steemit platform each day and once that time is over, I move on to the next activity for the day.

By doing this, I'm able to give attention to almost every part of my daily life including rest, which happens to be the main goal of it all.
