Lotus Pond Scouting for Koi Game Inspiration

Hey nature photo lovers!

For a new game concept I concocted about a valiant Samurai Koi fish defending his peaceful lotus pond from an invading evil octopus cartel, I went scouting for real-life inspiration at a serene local water garden. While snapping reference shots, the elegance all around captivated me into sharing this aquatic glimpse.

Several raised platforms get you up close with flora like vibrant pink lotus blossoms unfurling their delicate petals across lily pads. Plump goldfish and streaking koi fish cruise the still waters below (*or so I think).

As dragonflies flit overhead, it was the perfect place to envision an idyllic home for my illustrated Samurai fish hero before the Octo-Triad's attack shatters the harmony. The vivid greens, radiant flowers, graceful creatures, and traditional symbols ultimately translated wonderfully as I later fleshed out digital concept art for the lighthearted fish saga.

Hopefully some grace and tranquility captured in these pretty pond pics carries over into the game's visual development!
