The upper part of the Northern Cardinal's head is really amazing.

Common Grackles look quite stretched, and they are noisy too. I think Grackles are one of the bird species that practice Anting. They permit ants to walk all over their plumage and body while the ants produce an acid through their bites. This act aids in getting rid of some parasites on the birds.
